I notice reception is influencing my giving when I start expecting something in return, like recognition or personal gain. If my focus moves away from caring for others and towards my own desires, I know reception is affecting my intention to bestow.

Hello, I’m Carina from Red Deer, Alberta. I’m eager to learn how to use Kabbalah to get along with people I struggle with, understand the two paths—one of suffering and one of happiness and harmony—and choose the latter, explore the root of the Middle East crisis, and discover how changing myself can help change the world.

Yes, according to Kabbalah, reality is the product of your perception because your inner state shapes what you perceive. Equivalence of form means aligning your desires and feelings to be like the Creator’s—loving, giving, and balanced—which lets you perceive reality more clearly. When you achieve this alignment, your perception and reality unite, revealing the true spiritual nature behind what you experience.

To live our current incarnation to the fullest, we need to choose the right environment and make changes that lead us toward light and selflessness. Helping others and developing the point in our heart guide us closer to the Creator’s path. By aligning our desires with the Creator, joining a supportive community, and praying for the correction of our ego, we grow spiritually and fulfill our purpose.

Our true free will is in choosing the environment we live in, including the people and influences around us. Most of what we think and do is controlled by our genes, upbringing, and outside forces, making our freedom feel real but mostly an illusion. This illusion is kept by a spiritual “screen” that hides the control from us so we feel free even when we are not. Real freedom comes when we align ourselves with a higher purpose, making us partners in our own growth beyond just making choices.
