The most important explanation is that it directs you to the sources and not to instructors. Meaning you have to have what’s called “faith in the sages.” They write about the spiritual world that they attain, and provide you a method to do the same. Beyond that, there are no guarantees. It only seems to students that some instructor testimony would be of assistance. It turns out that that would require belief in someone as well – someone of far lower stature than Baal HaSulam, Rabash, Dr. Laitman.
Imagine no one ever had hearing. Suddenly, you’re the first person to develop an ear. You discover a world of sounds. It’s that concrete. Like this, you discover a spiritual world already around you, the dimension of forces operating our world.
There are actually 5 Phases if we include the Keter. Since there’s no Created Being there to speak of, we somtimes deemphasize this root phase. There are 5 worlds, corresponding to these 5 phases.

It’s hard, even impossible to imagine attainment since what scientists call facts are something far below this. For example, we don’t attain that dinosaurs lived or that monkeys evolved or that light is particles or waves. Such lenses can emerge such that all that is turned on its head. Those things, we don’t hold in our hands experimentally, the way I test if a ball is thrown up, it’ll come down. And even this is not yet attainment. But let’s say that’s the minimum for what we call attainment. The ball, you attain in the 5 senses that Nature developed in you. Partzufim, you attain with senses that Nature develops, but not automatically. Only with your sincere request. Getting to that is the whole problem.
It originates in the sayings of ancient Kabbalists: קלני מראשי (kalani mi-roshi), an idiomatic expression, which here means, “I suffer more” than you, the person, because I, the Shichina, include everyone in me – while your suffering is only a part of the suffering of the whole. Not to mention that it’s one’s choice to suffer instead of complete the correction, while the Creator has to wait for us to exercise our free choice in this.
