I have to first understand my Will to Receive, how much I love myself, meaning think of myself every minute, and cleave to what’s good for me with all my heart and soul. It’s to that extent I must love the other.

There’s no English translation that I trust. Translators alter the words to fit their understanding as they translate and even add extra words. However, Baal HaSulam’s Study of the Ten Sefirot has the words of the Ari and then commentary.
