If I want to come closer to the goal of life, and not to shut my eyes so as to put it off for later, then it can be clear in each moment how to come closer. It’s just that I haven’t made this decision yet. If I haven’t made the decision, then it will seem confusing and as though there are many options per minute.

The ego is bigger than ever – that’s true. But it’s still at a tiny degree relative to the ego that has to stand against spiritual degrees. Yet this tiny ego is perfectly big enough to destroy most of humanity with nukes, hydro bombs and so on. If we reveal such near phases of its development corporeally, the handful who are left will have a life of such terrible suffering that they’ll have to correct themselves. Or, while the boot is still up in the air getting ready to kick us, we run ahead toward the spiritual goal. Either way, the end result is perfect, whole, and guaranteed.
