It is difficult for us to notice how our environment influences us because we are so far sidetracked from investing in positive social relationships by the cultural waters that surround us.
We are exposed to hundreds or even thousands of ads a day that create norms and dictate that you should be status-obsessed, narcissistic, compulsive consumerists, and materialists.
In this way, some values, not always the most correct ones, over time, invade our minds, below the threshold of our consciousness without realizing it.
When I witness or participate in an apparently negative event, for example, someone who tells me something I don’t like, if I stop to think, I can find the positive part of it. I mean, finding the reason for what happened and understanding how it can help me get closer to my true goals. Conversely, if I let myself be influenced by the first impression, I can react negatively and waste the learning that that has brought me.
To achieve higher levels of success and happiness, in addition to greater cognitive ability, it is suggested to connect with other human beings.
I believe that collaborative study encourages learning, however, I also agree that competitiveness is important because it is a stimulus for self-improvement. When we have other people to take base, who have reached higher levels, we are convinced that we can also reach such levels. In addition to the delicious taste of surpassing the other and being recognized as the best, or at least being walking in the direction of becoming. What has to do with the previous issue of recognition.
In some way, the recognition served as payment to the participant, in lieu of money. In other words, the difference in the amount of money that was subtracted was compensated with recognition.
However, when there was no recognition compensation, for money and only the amount of money was decreased, this decrease caused the participant to become demotivated, without recognition compensation to compensate for the demotivation.Here in Brazil, in fact, there is a mentality that one should take advantage of. It is amazing how people get comfortable and if the entrepreneur doesn’t keep an eye on it, they pass it on behind.
In my point of view, this lesson is not so much about the relationship between the business owner and his employees, but about the relationship cycle he has with people with the same thinking profile.
I may be totally wrong, however, I have always sought to cultivate good relations with my employees and I have always been robbed of it.
