You are aiming in the right direction.
A little redirection: think of this in terms of the Light is still doing everything. The Creator had a desire to create a creature and fill it with endless delight. This thought itself caused everything that happens after. Everything in the four phases of direct light, which take place before time and space all the way to our day today, all of it extends from that original thought.
So when we refer to the four phases of direct light, this is the primordial structure that everything else in reality will follow, kind of like the dna that determines how everything in the body will be built.

There is an addition to the explanation.
We will remain a desire to receive since this is what the Creator wants. He wants to give abundantly to us.
However by receiving we become opposite from Him.
But we will learn about correcting our intention. If we receive, not for the sake of our ego, but in order to give contentment to the Creator than our act of receiving is truly an act of bestowal. We only receive because it gives Him contentment, not because of our ego.This world is what is depicted to us by our corporeal senses. The Upper Worlds are what we perceive with vessels of bestowal (not vessels of reception), that is called Life.

Everything in reality develops according to a cause and effect process.
We can point to a time when the vegetative level of nature began and we can point to a time when the animal level of nature began, and in each of these degrees we can refer to sub-degrees and sub-degrees of sub-degrees.
For example the first “animal” is one part of the process and then development of a million species of animals is another part.
Likewise the point in the heart developed in creation almost 6000 years ago. Around 3500 years ago it spread into the first group of people.
There are many degrees of this process.In our generation the will to receive developed to such an extent that corresponding to it a new degree of spiritual development came to humanity.

Great question.
The nature of our reality is not very clear to us.
To us it seems 100% real.
Maybe it’s like a child who goes on an airplane to go on vacation with his family.
He gets packed, he goes on the plane, puts on his seatbelt, lands in a warm place, enjoys the beach and the pool.
But what does he know about how the airplane was made, and who went to work to purchase the tickets for the flight.
The child is at the tail end of everything and his life feels real, but everything has been set before him with no free choice or participation at all in the world he lives, only to go along with what is. Nevertheless, he feels this is his life and he doesn’t know there is something else.
The kabbalists tell us that we are at the very bottom of the world of Assiyah.
Anyway, we perceive our world according to our senses. Our senses are all aimed at ourself and we therefore depict a world in our mind that I end where my skin ends, past my skin there is the outside world.
This is called corporeal perception.

Don’t worry, we are all incorporated with each other and others are making corrections for you and you corrections for them, since as we will reveal that we are all organs of the same body.
We are consciously making a lot of efforts, however since what we are aiming for us is above us and we don’t yet know what that is, in that sense we are born into spirituality unconscious, like a baby born into our world.
