If it is wrong to use amulets to control upper forces for shallow personal gain, is there ever a good reason to try to control upper forces (roots)? What reasons? And how to do this?

Where does the small amount of free will reside in each person? Should a person strive to change their destiny if their destiny (with suffering) has a greater purpose they cannot see?
