Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path?

If I start thinking about others and put them first as my goal for the work, then this way I do the work of helping others

I think we help the others by being a good mirror to them. To be a good mirror we have to be ourselves, be authentic.

Truthfully, I don’t know what this looks like at this point.  I understand that we are to be there for the friends in their spiritual development but I don’t know how personal this arrangement will be or what it entails.

Will we be discussing things which we are encountering in our everyday lives or restricting our discussions to kabbalistic texts?  How much of our time, energy and attention will be committed to the group work?  I’m excited to find out more but also a little concerned that I won’t be able to do a good job of it with a very busy work and family life.  I will do my best.

        You echo my concerns.

I’m taking it as an opportunity to practise faith above reason 🤷🏻‍♀️. I know there’s a reason we’re here at this time — and it may not be to accomplish 100% of anything. But whatever we do receive and give along the journey will be exactly what is needed of us, and for us, right now. And it will be worthwhile 🙂

Maybe helping others is indirectly helping the part of me in them?

I have some theoretical ideas about the group and its purpose. Yet, I cannot imagine what would happen there. A group of people with a burning desire to see beyond and advance. The very first intention is to receive, and it’s o because we are made of “reception” material. I know that the “intention” software will run on “the will to receive” hardware. Helping others to become like the Creator and, in doing so, advance. But I really have no idea about it.
