ToddParticipantHow does a physical book have a spiritual root while a ebook does not?
- April 17, 2023 at 5:11 pm EDT #318215
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey Todd,
It’s a different world we’re living in. Before, if you wanted to make something, you had to find the materials and make ‘that thing’. In the digital age, ‘making something’ is kind of this virtual action. Of course there are efforts and imagination invested in bringing that thing – let’s say a tool in the form of software – to life, but the essence is 1s and 0s.
Don’t be concerned with needing to fetch a book made of paper and ink just to grab ahold of something with a ‘spiritual root’, but you yourself feel the text differently. Words maybe don’t help as much here, and I’m lacking them now, but read an article from a book and read the same from an ebook. The experience is different. Digital is almost imaginary – if you can understand where I’m getting at.
Having a physical book won’t advance you spiritually any more than an ebook would though, if that’s the question.
Thanks!
Chris

Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey Todd,
A couple of choices. You can download the Kabbalah Media app and choose “live broadcast” or you can go here: KLI.ONE/LIVE
Thanks!

MAROUANE BakizParticipanthello
is there any advanced kabbalah students from an Arabic & Islamic background here ?
please if there is I want to connect with them
- April 14, 2023 at 9:55 pm EDT #317987
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey Marouane,
KabU is specifically for students learning in English and our Arabic content is at its early stages. We have a good number of Turkish students which if you prefer to learn in that environment, I’m sure we could arrange that.
Thanks!

Dustin CaldwellParticipantHow does one come to teach Kabbalah? Can I complete courses and then teach Kabbalah?
- April 6, 2023 at 10:29 am EDT #317113
Joseph – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Dustin,
If your speaking about this KabU platform, then teachers are selected by a group of senior teachers according to certain criteria.
1) Completion of all KabU introductory courses as well as the instructors course
2) Participation in group work
3) Consistent participation in the daily Kabbalah lesson with Rav Michael Laitman
Anyone may express their desire to become a teacher; however, it takes some time before a person correctly establishes themselves in the group work and in the lessons.

Dustin CaldwellParticipantDoes Kabbalah give any credence to practices like mindfulness, meditation, visualization, and being present? Can one engaged in these practices still consider themselves an “authentic” Kabbalist?
- April 5, 2023 at 11:26 am EDT #316901
Joseph – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Dustin,
The wisdom of Kabbalah does not speak of such concepts. A person can engage in whatever they like and still study Kabbalah. What I can say is that the sages engaged only in intention. Although this may sound similar to what you mentioned, this is not the case. The intention is an action we make only in a group.

paulParticipantHello, I wasn’t raised Jewish but when I decided to seek my Creator, I was drawn to make and wear tzittzits what do they represent kabbalistically?
- April 5, 2023 at 11:17 am EDT #316899
Joseph – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Paul,
Kabbalah views such corporeal actions as cultural customs. You can do them or not, and there are students who do follow various customs, but this is a personal choice and not required to attain the Creator.
