      Do we have free will?

      • #311658

        Hey mrc,

Yes, but not where you’re thinking it is at the moment. Until a person acquires the intention to bestow, choice doesn’t exactly exist since there is still only the one quality they perceive.

        Thanks!

      Hello,

      What is innovation in spirituality?

      Thank you

      Adelina.

      • #311657

        Hey Adelina,

Not exactly sure where you’re asking from but if I understand correctly, innovation would be how a person changes the use of their will to receive each time – from in order to receive to in order to bestow.

        Thanks!

It is in the Zohar Lock and Key, where it is said that ththose who study the Torah and innovate words of the Torah.

      Hi,

What was the danger that Kabbalists saw in ancient ttimes to reveal the Zohar?

      Thank you

      Adelina.

        Hi Adelina,

The danger was in giving the remedy before the disease is revealed. You do that before the time is right and no one has a need for it, or worse, they’ve already been introduced to the only remedy and the perception of the wisdom has been tainted by generations who “diluted” it with misunderstandings and mininterpretations. When the time comes for the wisdom to reveal itself as what can bring humanity to it’s next degree, the value would have been diminished.

        Thanks!

So let’s say a person has ten units of consciousness, ten units of awareness if you will.  When this person get’s the “sixth sense” or reaches spirituality does his amount of consciousness or awareness change?  Will he get another ten units of awareness or consciousness or will he have to use the ten units he already has and multitask and or split those between the spiritual and the corporeal and if so would this be tiring?

      • #311655

Certainly! If here is more eto perceive theres more to perceive! A person who acquires the quality of bestowal only wants to bestow more and more, and with that, they need the means to receive more and more.

        Thanks,

        Chris

Do I curse God just by feeling bad?

      • #311539

Great question, mrc. Actually, yes, but you have to add to that the understanding that He caused you to feel such a way. The question is what is your reaction to that recognition? This is where you truly have the ability to find the light in the darkness. Darkness being your cursing the Creator and not that you feel bad.

        Thanks!

        Chris

Can I choose to not curse God when I feel bad?

But I didn’t curse him consciously? Can it be like Job who didn’t curse God when he suffers?

        • #311541

Right but you could say it’s the same suffering the Creator feels when His creation has not yet reached its full development. We aren’t to blame, yet it still isn’t a corrected state.

So the cursing and possibly anger is in the heart not in the mind and mouth/body right?

      Hello,

What is the definition of Miftacha and Man’ula?

      Thank you

      Adelina.

      • #311652

Always in the heart first. The mind comes and clarifys the desire.

Hello Adelina. I’m not an instructor or moderator, just a fellow student but I found this and hope it helps. It’s from “The Letters of Rabbi Hamnuna-Saba” under THE LETTER TAV.

“These two parts of Malchut manifest in different ways: Miftacha – openly and Man’ula – secretly. Two paths of bringing man to correction emerge from them: the good path of the Torah and the path of suffering.”

There is much more to read about it but that was the most direct definition in the passage. If you’d like to read it all just copy/paste –  the letters of rabbi hamnuna-saba miftacha –  into Google then select the result from from Kabbalah Info titled “The Letters of Rabbi Hamnuna-Saba | The Zohar.” When you arrive on the page press Ctrl & F together then a search box will appear in the top right corner of your screen. Search for the word Miftacha. It will take you to information your seeking. I apologize that I am unable to provide the hyperlink for easier access to the web site. Unfortunately, the forum does not allow it at this time.

——————   Dear Instructors/Moderators, if students are only to reply to each in the classroom forums and not in this forum that is directed toward KabU instructors please let me know and I won’t continue to do so. It’s just in my nature to answer questions when I’m able to do so.

        Hi Adelina,

A reader of the Zohar I see!

        Hi Adelina,

A reader of the Zohar I see!  No one explains it better than Rav Laitman I suppose. Here you go!

        http://www.kabbalah.info/eng/content/view/frame/2865?/eng/content/view/full/2865&main

Malchut that stands in NE is called a “lock,” for she prevents Ohr Hochma from entering the Partzuf. The entire Partzuf ends in Hochma (the Light can only be in K-H). Hence, it is merely Nefesh- Ruach. After all, in the absence of Kelim- Sefirot B-ZA-M, the Lights Neshama-Haya-Yechida are absent. Yesod de Malchut is the 49th gate, the maximum that can be before the end of correction, for Malchut de Malchut itself is the 50th gate.

If the key (Ateret Yesod of the Light) enters Yesod de Malchut (the 49th gate), then this Light lowers Malchut to her place, from NE to Peh. This Light opens the Partzuf and Ohr Hochma fills it. This is why Ateret Yesod is called a “key.”

        Thanks!
