ParticipantIs maaseh merkavah malkuth ascent to hochma and maaseh bereeshit to keter?

ModeratorSorry mrc, I’m not familiar with that interpretation. I understand that Maase Bereshit are texts about the creation of the world–the whole creation, and its system where Maase Merkava are texts that tell about the work of governance of the systems of this world.

ParticipantIs the body (egoistic desire) because of the law of pleasure and pain a prison?
- October 16, 2023 at 8:09 pm EDT #333069
Chris – KabU Instructor
ModeratorThe law of pleasure and pain is just one of the conditions set in our reality that operate the will to receive. “Body” in Kabbalah is just another word for “desire” and typically does not refer to the physical body in this world.

ParticipantThe human is superior to the animate but how about the body, is it inferior to the still as the body is egoistic desire?
- October 16, 2023 at 8:08 pm EDT #333068
Chris – KabU Instructor
ModeratorThe body is the animate level. Kabbalists refer to this as the animalistic will to receive, whereas the ego exist only in those who want to connect on the human level and encounter the force that repels that urge. There is a small small inclination we recognize as “self-love” in people, but Kabbalists tell us this is only a slight revelation of the true ego.

ParticipantShould we forgive our enemies because “they don’t know what they’re doing”?
- October 16, 2023 at 8:04 pm EDT #333066

ModeratorHey mrc,
The attitude is that this is the Creator acting before you and therefore there is no “someone” who is an enemy, rather the Creator how awakens you to feel that in order to cause a reaction from you to want to rise to the corrected perception.
Thanks!
Chris
