ParticipantObserve the self, its actions, and intentions. Is it taking all the time, constantly thinking of self, or can the self reflect on the needs of others and sense the difference between these two experiences?

ParticipantI understand the concept of developing the will to bestow, but I do not have a true sense of how to develop that in my own life.

ParticipantTo get in touch with the upper force and act with it mutually, we must first align our intentions with the nature of the Creator, which is bestowal. Kabbalah teaches that by gradually transforming our will to receive into a will to bestow, we begin to resonate with the Creator’s qualities. This requires cultivating awareness of our ego and working to rise above it by focusing on how we can contribute to the benefit of others, rather than seeking self-serving fulfillment.
The process involves working with a group or community of like-minded individuals, as mutual support and effort help us move beyond our own desires. By studying the wisdom of Kabbalah, meditating on our intentions, and continuously striving to bestow, we build a “screen” that enables us to perceive the spiritual worlds. Over time, this allows us to interact with the upper force in a reciprocal manner—receiving in order to bestow—and to become a vessel for the light, experiencing unity with the Creator.
