Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path?

We need to learn how to go above ourselves and see our friends in the same eye as the G-d. That old saying that we often see in others the very thing we dislike about ourselves is perhaps at the foundation of this subject. If we can see those things in others that we dislike about ourselves then we must also understand that the friend is not the source of this but rather the G-d. This is the opportunity to rise above our reason, and develop a love for those who are used as the vessels of correction for myself and to love them and the G-d for that beautiful gift.

      Shalom.

Seeing the friends as reflections of Creator. To love others as if they are myself.

It means to receive in order in order to bestow, to assist our friends within the 10, or our spouse to receive the light that reforms. By helping others, we help ourself to grow, develop, to receive the light that reforms.

by helping others meaning a group of 10 or a spouse who also is a kabbalist like myself the idea of attaining the light in groups is to grow and bestow on each other to pray as a group and to bounce off each other feelings  so that together we grow and attain the light.

It means receiving in order to give to others – and by doing so we are then allowing them to receive in order to give – this also highlights the interconnection between us all

It means to see their desires as my own, and connect with them above my ego.
