Preparation Question: Congratulations on progressing through the intermediary stages of your Kabbalah learning by staring this new course! Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting?

How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? The “me” of “we” wants the Light to reform our consciousness and alter our desires toward authentic altruism. (Which is silly of me to write because if it is not “authentic,” then it is not altruism. : )

What do we desire to achieve in this semester? I want all of us to achieve greater understanding of what KabU lessons are describing and for us to know how to use these methods in practical, experiential ways.

I want to know and feel the Light, so I can develop and grow within it by bringing love and compassion into every aspect of my life and my relationships. I wish to achieve a much closer relationship with the Light and our Creator in this semester through the practical application of Kabbalah.

In order words, I want the Light to change me. I presume the Light knows (better than myself) which changes are applicable at this instant.  I struggle with the implied notion that one has freedom and awareness to decide what needs changing

I hope to better understand practical ways I can implement Kabbalistic methods into my life. And, to better direct my intentions and choices, so that I can develop stronger connections with others.

By giving us strength as we work on ourselves, so that we can honestly say “Love others as you love yourself.”

The desire to use Kabbalah in practice to bring light to our environment.
