Participantweek 2 was a good reminder to not trust my 5 senses; that there is more to reality than meets the eye

ParticipantThe Bhagavad Gita also speaks about the true nature of reality, beyond the 5 senses. I’m reminded of the quote attributed to Einstein: reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one.

ParticipantI have to admit that when I first started learning about Kabbalah, it sounded a lot like Eastern religions to me. I don’t know enough about the Zohar to compare it with the Bhagavad Gita, but the concept of reincarnation is one of the first things to stand out to me. Also the idea that we are all connected, all one, seems apparent in both traditions. I do see that there is no monastic tradition in Kabbalah as in the east, but besides this, what else is the difference between the two?

ParticipantI want to be the cause, not the effect, of what happens to me. I want to create joy in my life.
