This is a message for Seth,

I am watching the replay of P’tiha Lesson 1 with Seth. The next lesson is about twelve hours from now.

There are a couple of issues with the playback. One, that Seth’s voice was cutting out for short periods. Two, that when the ‘share screen’ was up – the sound was affecting the picture.

    If someone could tell Seth?

    Thanks

Our Young Group homework is to listen to the daily Lesson Sep 24, 2020 Part 1 Lesson on the topic of “Work with Faith Above Reason”, lesson 29,

Rav says these words at around the five minute mark:

“…then if we approach every moment in our lives in this way and ….  and we ask him to connect us and we are successful to such an extent that we are able to draw him to clothe in us..”

“..when he dresses in us as a force of bestowal..”

I can get a feeling for what  ‘clothe in us’ and ‘dresses in us’ mean, but they seem like terms of art with a very specific meaning. What are they intended to mean? / Thanks

In the first video in the ‘further reading’ Albert-László Barabási at minute 22:20 describes how his Bacon number is 1 because he appeared in a film about Networks with Kevin Bacon. Now, he did so because he was aware of the game ‘Six degrees of Kevin Bacon’ – so he effectively gamed the system and altered the whole network of those who connect to Kevin Bacon via Albert-László Barabási.

How does that play out in the world of human beings? I see a parallel with the idea described in Kabbalah of getting ahead of the game and moving to unity.

Much the same as now, at least on day One. No lightning bolts from the sky. But then a gradual realigning of what we do to bring it in line with the vision of cooperation.

But to be real, in Notes From Underground, Dostoyevsky writes about the destructive element – the ‘just because I can’ element in mankind.

And in Ethics Of The Fathers Raban ben Gamliel says ‘Do not trust in yourself until the day of your death.’

I imagine it will take generations to clean up our views. Come the revolution! 🙂
