Once the goal is defined, you will continue to refine it to keep yourself perfectly aimed at the target. How would you currently define the goal for which you are studying? #310670Don TaylorParticipant
Wow Jim, Your reply really struck a chord with me. I too have a lot of accomplishments driven by wanting to be successful. I recognised that I was only able to achieve those accomplishments becuase God put the oppertunities infront of me. It is important to recognise it when it happens, seize the opportunity, and then express verbally your apprectiation and gratitude directly to God. Best wishes Jim

The Bible tells us to examn ourselves, and repent for our sins. By doing this we feel we are being watched and judged. We ask for forgiveness so we feel better towards ourselves. I now see that is religon. If I understand the Kabbalah view now, We are to examine ourselves to see how we are not in line with the likeness of God. We are told to repent so that we will examine ourselves. Yes?

I have a question. I understand the Zohar is written in the language of roots and branches. It is not easy to read. I am better off waiting to read the Zohar until I develop more spiritually? I don’t want to mislead myself by assuming the meaning of what I’m reading.
November 16, 2021 at 3:30 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Try to imagine the sensation behind the statement “There is None Else Besides Him.” How can I feel that the entire reality is the action of the Creator? #188455Don TaylorParticipantEverything that exist starts with the creator. Every thought that man has, pertains to objects, forces, experiences, and emotions. When man is thinking about any of these or experiencing, man can only think of what he himself knows, which is a creation of God.

I really enjoyed and learned a lot in the first semester. It was very thought provoking and enlightening. I have been searching for enlightenment for what seems to be my whole life. I was raised as a Catholic and later attended a Baptist church. As a Christian I felt blessed and learned a lot on how to love God and your fellow man. I felt however I was missing something spiritually and had a strong desire and was drawn to know more.
Kabballah is answering questions that I felt I was missing. And, I’ve only made way so far through the first semester at CabU. Many a night I went to bed with my mind feeling like it was turned inside-out from Tony Kosenic’s mind wrenchening deep thought provoking sessions. Thank you Tony and Gil.
Sincerely, Don Taylor / Hawaii
