Therapist. Kabbalah is the next degree after we sort out this world. Whatever’s provided as a solution in this world is one’s first line of defense. I need to go to pay my taxes, go to the doctor, have a job, kids, etc. The Creator provided this field of work at this level, and then there’s a higher level we can build upon it.

Because He accepts the work of Lo Lishma. We just have to reach the complete Lo Lishma. Then we reach Lishma. So, the problem is not that my work is isn’t Lishma but that I’m usually not even working in Lo Lishma.

Thanks, Brendan.  The last lesson in this course explains this a bit. We’re not in these phases yet. These are the phases Kabbalists reveal having risen from our world to the top. We’re below all the worlds and need to rise, starting with the Restriction on the egoistic Will to Receive.

1. Everything has a spark of light in it from the Shattering.

2. We have a spark of Light, but a spark is not Light. Between us, there can be actual Light.

3. The evil inclination is only teaching us not to stay in it. Advancement should be like dancing. Though there are ascents and descents, because of their rapid changing, one feels the whole experience as joyous. If it’s bad, it’s that I’m only standing, remaining in one state.
