Both. This is the structure of the soul. It is not built yet. By learning about it, we awaken the Surrounding Light, and it builds these vessels in us through which we feel the spiritual world. The structure of Creation we study in this course is not the only means, but it is one of the means, and a pretty clean one – because w do not enter spirituality with our corporeal brain, and especially this part of the wisdom of Kabbalah does not enable me to clog myself with the imagination that I’m already in the states discussed, as I might elsewhere. Here, any reasonable person knows they do not have access to what’s discussed here, and that leaves the person with a deficiency to feel, and this deficiency causes the force in nature (Surrounding Light) to work.
It’s a system, and this action, the shattering that occurred as a result was a great gift because only by it every part in that system can become like the Upper Force. All together in one soup (the desire that consists of myriad desires all intermingled) it can’t. The shattering broke them such that they can only reconnect with the correct intention, and intention like that of the Upper Force. Of course it occurs in a special way such that it is as if there was a mistake, that the lower ones requested from the Upper to pass them the Light so that they could bestow, and the Upper Ones, Abba ve Ima did so, and so Abba ve Ima also get cancelled here, though they themselves only passed the Light downward.
All of the degrees are stages of development of the desire, interactions the desire had with the Light. Each interaction left a Reshimo, and we can ascend through the degrees because of this. The Reshimo includes everything – which world I’m in, with which vessels, with which Lights – from Adam Kadmon all the way down to the discernment of the imaginary world we exist in now, which is the discernment of having nothing spiritual and existing in some kind of dream. We got a vague longing for spirituality, which we need to magnify and amplify through the right kind of environment. It is the beginning of the first spiritual Reshimo.

Absolutely, in the Graduate Program we form groups for those who want to. It’s necessary to get all the basics first and advance through independent study.
What matters is that we’re getting into these matters, hopefully with the expectation that the Reforming Light will work and bring us to the feeling, from which, and only from which, can come the understanding. It won’t fit into our corporeal brains, which are built differently than the spiritual worlds. The brain doesn’t enter spirituality.
I can’t start combining the Inverse Relation of Lights and Vessels with other parts. If I understand the Inverse Relation, even in a simple way, that’s already good. If I understand the part about Nekudot de SAG, that’s good as well.
Moreover, it’s best not to even think about SAG in those terms, so as not to get confused. The Nekudot de SAG… what Lights does it have? The Light of Hassidim: pure bestowal without any reception. You can think of it as empty, except for the power of bestowal, the power to remain empty. This is its desire and its fulfilment.
