A student will almost always decide to stop studying, precisely when the study reaches the topic of this lesson – because of the part of the soul it relates to. What will be your motivation to persevere?

It is always darkest before the dawn. I need to trust the Sages, as they have attained Spirituality. I want to be servant to the Creator- (The Good that does Good); not a slave to my ego. It’s a process– Patience, Persistence and Perseverance are key.

Can sort of think of it as caterpillar, which while completely hidden in a cocoon, goes through a complete transformation and finally becomes a butterfly!

In your own words, what is the purpose of this course of study? What do you hope to attain?

Learn about the structure of “Reality” — the upper spiritual worlds– which are at the root of my existence.

Gain an understanding of the forces, forms, functions, and laws that govern this reality, so that I, in the here and now, in this corporeal body, as an integral part of Adam ha Rishon, can (as quickly as possible) do what I need to do in order to facilitate the fulfillment of the Purpose of Creation which is: The creation the creature so it can be filled with infinite delight and pleasure the Creator wishes to bestow!

Why do you think it was decided that all people would be born lacking the tool of spiritual perception?

If we had the tool of spiritual perception then the attraction of the delights of the Spiritual World would probably be too great for our nature-the will to receive- to resist. There wouldn’t be any real opportunity for “freedom of choice”; to choose anything of my own free will, since every pleasure and delight I could possibly desire would be right there in front of me!

The Spiritual World needed to be concealed so we could evolve and discover our egoistic nature that drives us. Then of our own volition, we could choose to build a second nature, an altruistic nature.  We could choose whether (#1) to receive for self alone (egoistic) OR to (#2) change our intention to one of bestowal– to receive for the sake of the Creator.

Choosing (#2) allows us to build an altruistic nature (a Kli with a Masach) above our egoistic nature and reach equivalence of form with the Creator. As we actually begin to feel and reveal the Creator, we can gradually ascend the 125 degrees of the Spiritual ladder through the 5 spiritual worlds (correcting corrupted desires along the way) and eventually return to our spiritual root as an independent creature.

The connection between the “friends” (the Points in the Hearts) in the kabbalistic Group.

As Rav  Dr. Laitman explains “….the Creator fills the connection among our souls with Himself.”

I affect everyone in my group, and everyone in my group affects me. Having altruistic intentions of love, bestowal, unity and connection among us leads to our beginning to feel and reveal the Creator.

Preparation Question: What do you imagine a Kabbalah Gathering with 1000’s of points in the heart feels like?

I attended (virtually on Zoom) both the 3 day Upstate NY Retreat and the 3 day Dutch Retreat. I can only imagine that the feelings of unity, connection, love, harmony, joy and peace I experienced would be greatly intensified!

Preparation Question: How is spreading the wisdom of Kabbalah related to fulfilling my private correction in the general system?

We now live a global community, a world of 8 billion+ people. We are all interconnected, all a part of the one general unified soul of Adam Ha Rishon. But now being enclothed in a corporeal body in a this corporeal world, I am completely under the influence and domination of the unrelenting force of egoism, and I feel myself as a separate, unique individual, having no actual connection to anyone or anything.

By spreading the wisdom of Kabbalah (with an altruistic intention of bestowal) I can correct this illusion/delusion of separation. I can become a “conduit” for sharing the (reforming) Light- possibly even helping to awaken “sleeping” points in the heart! And as a conduit for this reforming Light, I personally, cannot help but receive the benevolence of this reforming light as well!

The reforming Light enables the building of an altruistic Kli with a Masach/screen. With this altruistic Kli I build a “second nature” on top of my egoistic selfish nature. I change my intention from an egoistic “desiring to receive for self alone” into an intention of desiring to receive for the sake of sharing, and I bring contentment to the Creator.

In doing this, not only do I reach greater “equivalence of form” with the Creator, but I can cross the Barrier (Machsom) to the spiritual worlds and correct corrupted, selfish desires.  Since each of us is interconnected, each one of us an integral part of the one general soul of Adam HaRishon, I’ll automatically be doing it for everyone!
