Preparation Prompt: Envision a world where individuals are interconnected through the spiritual principle of love. How would societal dilemmas be approached differently in such a paradigm?
In any given conflict, each and every party involved would have as their priority the desires/needs of every other party. This would utterly change the the nature of “conflict” as we know it. Conflict would cease to be a competition fueled by fear and would be transmuted into a mutual effort to understand and cooperate.
Justin WoodParticipantPreparation Question: How is spreading the wisdom of Kabbalah related to fulfilling my private correction in the general system?
At the deepest level, dissemination of the wisdom to others is when the student of Kabbalah acts as a conduit or channel through which the light is drawn and distributed to others. Dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah ultimately means using your spiritual capacity to draw reforming light for those around you.
Justin WoodParticipantDrawing the reforming light is the aim of all Kabbalistic practice. The light IS the radiance of the Creator, and the light we receive represents how much of the Creator we are capable of receiving and sensing at our current level of development, with our current spiritual vessels.
This work with the reforming light can be conducted individually, (such as in private prayer, contemplation, or the reading of Kabbalistic texts.) Likewise, the work can be conducted in groups such as the Kabbalistic workshop or circle. We can strengthen the influence of the reforming light by working with others and elevating the desires of our friends over our own.

In what desire are we connected? #369395Justin WoodParticipantOn one level, students of Kabbalah are connected by their mutual desire for spiritual truth and direct experience of the upper force. But on a broader scale, we are connected by our desire to receive. When we interact with others on the basis of our own desires there is no actual connection occurring; there is merely conditioned interaction between egos. In order to actually connect with others, it is essential that we set aside our own desire to receive in favour of emphasizing the desires of others. The degree to which we are able to elevate the desires of others above our own dictates the degree to which we can really connect with them.

The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #369393Justin WoodParticipantI want the Light to influence me to shift my intention from receiving for my own benefit to receiving for the benefit of others. I want the light to evolve that intention to receive for others into the intention to receive for the benefit of the Creator. I hope to grow this semester into a greater capacity to open up during workshops. I also look forward to understanding the practices of Kabbalah and putting them into action.
April 16, 2024 at 5:05 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: In Kabbalah, our primary task is to draw the reforming light, which supplies all we require for spiritual progress. Moreover, it’s said that aiding others accelerates our own spiritual ascent. How does this dynamic operate? What does supporting fellow seekers with a spiritual inclination entail? #369392Justin WoodParticipantIn order to support fellow seekers, my intention must become more aligned with the will to bestow. As a result of this alignment, I become closer in equivalence of form with the Creator. When we increase our equivalence of form with the Creator, we increase our capacity to draw and sense the reforming light. When I draw light for my own development, I draw a narrow stream; but when I draw light for the development of others, I draw significantly more light than I would have for just myself. I benefit exponentially from this because all the light that I draw for others passes through me first, working in me every bit as much as it does in the others.
