MichaelParticipantA theory: realize that a Kether force is not just a giver but a receiver of light. Â The first step away from the light and presence of the Creator is when we stop wanting to receive and want to give. Â And at first it seems like a good thing. Â We want to take responsibility; we want to be in control.
But the truth is we stop wanting to receive because we feel obligated to those who help us. We stop wanting to receive because we don’t want to give back.  We feel separation from the Creator.  In feeling separation, we don’t want to have to give back.  It is a selfish act.  An act of not wanting to be a part of the Creator.  And this is our first step away.
The rest of the steps are a crescendo of the result of the first decision to separate, and by so doing showing our desire not to be a part of the Creator and thereby continue our fall.
Ultimately, I suspect, we find once again that receiving only is not satisfying. Â We accept reception from the Kether while at the same moment being willing to and especially desirous of returning with passion the light that we are receiving. Â When we both want to give and to receive do we once again attain a place with the Kether that we have been missing since separation.

MichaelParticipant“The cause of suffering is that our inborn nature (i.e. egoism) is opposite to the nature that created it.“
The above quote makes me wonder, does this mean that we are the opposite of the Creator? Â And if the Creator only gives, then is all he is giving a selfish nature? Â If so, what is a Creator who only creates egoism?
