ParticipantWhile reading the suggested chapter ” Great Kabbalist’s throughout history “, from Awakening to Kabbalah, it blew me away when I read that one could advance to the upper spiritual worlds in this one lifetime through the study of Kabbalah as presented by Baal Hasulam. When I was a boy I came to the belief that the purpose of our lives in this world, was to study the scriptures and the teachings of the bible so that we might progress to the point of being blessed with the creative nature of the G-d and thereby end our sojourn in this world and return to the eternal realms. This of course is contrary to the Christian beliefs, that this can be accomplished in one lifetime.
I think I came into this world again in 1961 with my remembrances somewhat intact as this was not the only belief I came to during my youth. Perhaps I was a Kabbalah student returning to finish the work at this time. I never felt comfortable in any church and all the various religious and philosophical studies I involved myself in were always lacking in the end to provide me with the methodology to accomplish my goal…until four years ago when I first encountered Kabbalah. I now know I am in the right place and am eager to complete this work in my present lifetime. I am so full of joy to have discovered the teachings of Baal Hasulam and Kabbalah.
Shalom.

December 30, 2024 at 5:45 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Starting a new course in Kabbalah is similar to a fetus moving on to a new trimester. The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #413029Philip Iyov Ecks
ParticipantI have longed for a personal relationship with my creator. I had always thought that this was a very personal endeavor, one that we each had to discover on our own throughout our experiences in this world and life. It had never occurred to me that the true way to accomplish this was with interaction with our neighbors and friends. We are all on the path to equivalence of form with the G-d and regardless of where we each are along this path, it is necessary that we help one another along the way. We are all a part of the collective soul of Adam and how appropriate that we should all be involved in the re-building of this soul as one collective body. I look forward to beginning this journey with all the friends here at KabU.
Shalom.

ParticipantI think that if we lived in such a place, the present experiences we have in this world with all it chaos, wouldn’t exist. Our world would be a much different place indeed.

December 15, 2024 at 1:29 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #409927Philip Iyov Ecks
ParticipantWe need to learn how to go above ourselves and see our friends in the same eye as the G-d. That old saying that we often see in others the very thing we dislike about ourselves is perhaps at the foundation of this subject. If we can see those things in others that we dislike about ourselves then we must also understand that the friend is not the source of this but rather the G-d. This is the opportunity to rise above our reason, and develop a love for those who are used as the vessels of correction for myself and to love them and the G-d for that beautiful gift.

Participantwe need to connect to those around us, to choose the right environment in which to learn and grow with others in groups of ten.

ParticipantHello, my name is Phil, and I have been a seeker of spirituality for nigh on 55 years. I discovered Kabbalah and Zohar 5 years ago and have been pretty much studying on my own ( I live in the Yukon territory of Canada). My first encounter with Kabbalah were books I bought written by the RamHal, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto. From that beginning I found KabU some 3 years ago and have been studying the materials on the site. Finally last year I signed up for the courses and have had an amazing experience, which I hope will continue.
Shalom.
