SallyParticipantThe concept of connection was new to me.The idea that we have to change our hearts in order to change the world is totally different to what I was taught to believe. I was raised in a family of activists and was taught that I had a responsibility to work for the improvement of society. I now see that while I do need to stand for the oppressed I need to spend more time working on correcting myself
SallyParticipantIn thlesson tonight there was a section that said if you prayed very fervently and had exhausted all other avenues, sometimes the Creator would answer your prayer Rav Layman wrote in his blog on January 24, 2011 the Creator could not change ( I seem to remember that I had heard an instructor say that same in a previous lesson) I’m trying to reconcile the two statements. What am I missing or not seeing. Thank you.

SallyParticipantAs I have come to understand the role of prayer, I have to first have an intent. I must prayer for my heart to be able to change so that i can love rather than concern myself with the actions and behavior of anyone else.

SallyParticipantI have been mistaken about every single thing i thought i knee about spirituality. I thought we each had a soul, but now i know we are one soul. Connections…i did not ever think about connections. I am grateful. In I wish i’d known and studied before I turned 70! A lot of things about life would have, maybe, gone more easily, certain
decisions would have been clearer.September 22, 2025 at 1:15 pm EDT in reply to: Introduce yourself – Question Your Reality Part 1 #454543
SallyParticipantFriends, My
name is Sally, and I’m from Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania. I have been studying Kabbalah at Kabu since March. To say I have enjoyed my studies is something of misnomer. I’m not sure ‘enjoyed’ is the right word I found out that every single thing about my purpose while I’m on this earth ,every belief I had was incorrect. It didn’t help that at the same time I had some pretty big health issuesNow that I’m  able to focus with an increased lucidity I’m so incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity . I hope to learn from the people here, to increase connections aand move closer to the  collective soul
