  • Sean,
    Nice observation.
You’ll see when we start studying the structure of reality how accurate your depiction is.

    Shel,
Your curiosity and the development of your questions is correct.
You will have to get used to that the answers in the wisdom of kabbalah do not enter a person’s ear.
It is correct that in wrestling in your mind with the concepts and formulating the questions, this is the correct method.  But that you will hear a few words and that will resolve the question, that is not correct.  Our method is built on questions and answers, this helps us to build in our internality a correct vessel.
You can speak to your son about going out on his first date, but until he is there on the date with the apple of his eye, with all of those emotions and chemicals coursing through his body, this he needs to go through himself.
So we can speak a lot about what will happen after you acquire a spiritual vessel and what will you feel there and what will it be, but this doesn’t mean anything to us except for fun facts to write in our notebook.

So, for fun, let’s give you some fun facts for your notebook 😉
All of our study deals with a process called the 6000 years of creation.  Of course you should already know that we are not talking about how many times the earth travelled around the sun, these numbers all speak of qualities, not quantities.  That 6000 years is the time for the correction of the vessel until the “end of correction” when the entire vessel has changed from reception to bestowal.
Keep in mind that during this entire time we remain as a desire to receive, this is the creation that the Creator created.  Currently we are a desire to receive with an intention to receive.
All our work is to draw the light that develops us to invert that intention to receive into an intention to bestow.
In spirituality proximity is measured by equivalence of form, so as we become bestowing, we become like the Creator, more than like the Creator, it is called that we are in dvekut, adhesion with the Creator..until we reach the end of correction, this is the degree that the authors of the Zohar wrote to us from.
What happens in the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th millennia, our books don’t speak.
When we get there, we will know.

    Jennifer,
We can use the expressions, will to bestow and desire to bestow interchangeably.
You gave an example from corporeal life where something is so important to you that you were able to do something that you otherwise wouldn’t.
This is a natural conduct of the world.
I don’t want to wake up early to go to the gym, but I want to be healthy and being healthy is more important to me than sleeping in.
This same conduct happens in towards our spiritual work however, within our will to receive it’s impossible to truly have a desire to bestow.  We can behave like we do and this is correct, this is like what children do when they learn to be like adults, they play.  And when the time is right, nature makes the child into an adult, releases new hormones, grows the physical stature, develops the mind, the small teeth fall out and larger teeth come in.
So in spirituality, we play bestowal and the light comes and it gives us the will to bestow, actually it’s the intention to bestow.  The will to receive will remain, as the purpose of creation is to fill the creature with endless delight, so we must receive, but with the intention to bestow.

    Todd,
    Hi.  :))
That was a fun song.  I don’t think anyone has edited it or updated it in many years, so whatever you found is probably what there is.
Regarding your question, the answer is to brick by brick build your foundation.  And as it is known in this world too, the deeper the foundation, the higher and more stable the structure will be.
Maybe after 10 years you take the time now to put in a serious amount of time in KabU, read the materials and most importantly, take notes, test it on yourself and in your life.
For example you learn that the kabbalists write to us that reality is a will to receive on four degrees.  So examine the world, examine yourself.  If you feel it’s bullshit, so close the program and go find something that works for you.  If you test it and verify it on yourself, so put that brick in the foundation and move on.
Slowly, slowly you will build a framework, a foundation in your inner world where the light can begin to enter.
However if you wake up in a bad mood or if you go wandering in a social media environment where they bash kabbalah for example and then you come back and question your first brick and your second brick, then you are back to zero, or even less and waste a lot of time.
The point is, if you make a sober decision to build a brick and a second brick, etc. then you don’t go destroy your foundation every time you wake up in a bad mood or every time you hear some critic somewhere speak agains it.
You can count on your mood changing.  You can count on there being those against kabbalists.
    We are building something eternal.
You need to decide what you want from life.

    William,
You will hear some things from that book.
In general, all of the books that we learn together are only the ones that are related to our transformation, specifically in this time.
We are a group of students with a teacher, a kabbalist from an authentic line of kabbalists who are studying to reach spiritual attainment, adhesion with the Creator.
We study according to the method of Baal HaSulam, specifically his Sulam commentary on the Zohar, the Study of the Ten Sefirot which is his commentary on the ARI’s Tree of Life, and some of Baal HaSulam’s other articles and the articles.  This is generally the study from above to below.  The other part of our study is from books and articles by his son and disciple the Rabash which primarily deal with our inner work, meaning from below to above.
    Seth@KabU

    Tyrance,
Yes, this is related to Havaya and Elokim.
All in all it is the Creator doing all the work.  And at the same time, we need to develop a feeling of Him doing all the work, as the King, so to speak.
Now we don’t feel Him at all.  Do we feel that He is giving us air?  That when we eat a sandwich do we feel that He formed this over billions of years and even before time He prepared this for this moment.  That he is animating all of our organs and not just ours, but the creatures on the bottom of the sea and also whatever star is shining a billion light years away?
So, of course we don’t feel that.
It is like when we educate children.  We prepare the game, we prepare all the area, we do everything and then we put the child there and give them the ball and say throw it in this hoop and then we move the hoop so the ball goes in.  Later the child will be able to play, but for now we show them in baby steps so that the child can build in himself a structure of reality of where he is and what he needs to do.
So with us we need to go through all of the actions to build for ourselves who we are, where we are, what forces are operating on us, where it is guiding us.
And so at the beginning of each day (spiritual state) we say, if I am not for me then who is for me, meaning, I must do everything that is in my power to do.  And at the end of the day (spiritual state) we say, there is none else besides Him and even if I sat all day on the chair I would have the same result as I have from going out to work.
