Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Andreas,
OK, so you are asking a very good question.
Throughout the wisdom of kabbalah, at least during what we call the 6000 years or the 6 millennia, we always have two things that we encounter. A. Spirituality has no limitations. B. Our corporeal heart and mind do have limitations. So when we are studying, we have to know what we are referring to.
Of course, there is nothing that is outside of the Creator and He manages every atom and holds everything together in exquisite harmony.
When we refer to Malchut’s “decision” we are only talking about her attitude. She doesn’t effect the Creator, add anything to the Creator, etc. Only what she starts to feel herself.
Later and after that, it’s revealed that it was Him all along.

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorArabela,
I want to plant an orchard of peaches.
I inherited a big field where I can plant.
But before I can put the seed in the ground, I need to remove all of the rocks and the weeds from the field.
After that I need to turn the soil and mix it.
After that I can plant the seed and then water it and then the sun will shine….So we inherited a big field 🙂
First we need to study what is this field, what are the things to do on this field. That is what we are learning in these lessons.
It is not so difficult to “be in lishma”, but it is also the most difficult for us to understand what it is, where it is, how to approach it, how to develop a need for it.
We should see ourselves like little children who arrived to play. We should try everything that we are studying about, just try and play and try and play with all of the things we are learning and by this you will come closer from week to week, month to month and year to year.

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorYajaira,
From our perception, of course there is good and bad.
We live in this world and there are laws here and we have a family and there are ways that we behave in a family.
Of course your should be “good” to your children.
But if we go and study biology, psychology and all of the hormones in a person, we will see that our love is very natural, over thousands and thousands of years we developed like this to care for our young.
And in society we have customs, you don’t hurt me and I won’t hurt you and we all get along because in this way it will be a more comfortable life for everyone. But now we are studying spirituality.
It is a different level altogether.
If your little daughter makes a painting with her fingers and it is a big mess but it is her artwork and she is proud and she brings it to you to give it to you. You receive it from her.
If you reject it, you will hurt her feelings, so by receiving, you are giving.
In this small example you can see what we are pointing to in spirituality.
We are not talking about an “action” so to speak. We are talking about an attitude, an intention.

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorJonathan,
Everything was one, everything was OK, in Godly harmony.
What was missing there?
Only for the created beings to understand where they are, in the Creator.
How is it possible to reach a state where we can feel that we are in the Creator?
Only “as far as light excelleth from darkness”.
That is why we have these phases and all that happens after that. The created being…and we didn’t reach the created being yet.., the created being comes after this sequence of operations that we are learning here. We still need to go through the building of the partzufim, the sefirot and the worlds.
After the four phases of direct light, Behinat Aleph, Bet, Gimmel and Dalet comes the Tzimtzum Aleph.
You are correct that malchut cannot bestow. What does she have that she can bestow? Nothing that she has is hers. She didn’t make herself and the light she is filled with comes from Him.
So she stops receiving, that is called Tzimtzum Aleph. After that she goes through a process of admitting light bit by bit only as much as she can receive it with the correct intention to bestow back to the Creator. To the extent of her rejection, that builds the masach.
Through this process of purification of the desire performed by the masach by which it allows to enter called Inner Light, the masach rejects the rest of the light called Surrounding Light, by this she purifies herself until after many operations there is a shattering and then finally finally we get to the creature.

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorEsther,
If I refer to the musical note E. It means something to me, but it doesn’t mean that much to me.
But if I was a trained musician who practiced for 8 hours a day, I have a relation with E. I can hear that note in my head even without an instrument. I know how to approach the E note to make is sound powerful or subtle. If I play an F# after it it, called a 2nd, it sounds foreboding like in Jaws. If I play a B note after it, called a 5th, it sounds epic like in Star Wars. There are a lot of qualities, maybe endless qualities to the note E.
And so it is with definitions in the wisdom of kabbalah. We are using words that everyone uses, but we are pointing to spiritual operations. So although E is E, E is not always E :))
In other words there is a lot of information packed in the world bestowal.
When a kabbalist writes about bestowal, he is pointing to a spiritual quality.
Certainly in our world the love of a mother is an expression of bestowal and this stems from the root of the mother and the child in Bina and her relation to Malchut. But in our world this is not the bestowal that the kabbalists are writing about.
All of the system of nature is built on reception and bestowal, on – & +.
When we refer to bestowal we are speaking of spiritual + which is something that is on a degree above the animal degree which is where our bodies are.

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorZohreh,
We do many actions and efforts trying to come to this love, over many incarnations.
We feel that we have some good in us and some bad in us, it’s all a lie. We discover that we are a 100% vessel to receive.   When we reveal who we are, we see that we are only a will to receive pleasure and that controls all of our thoughts, our emotions, each and every cell is tied to this exquisite system. When we realize that, we are finally realizing the truth. So even though we realize that we are 100% receivers, it is true. So, it’s our first real step on the spiritual path, we have diagnosis, now we know what remedy we need.
The Creator did everything up to here. He made us like this, we have nothing to be sorry about. He made this desire with this quality to receive. That is what He did.
Now we need to ask Him for a second nature.
This is the matter of prayer which we will discuss in the future.
From the influence we feel from the books and the spiritual group that makes this goal great in my eyes, I come to a true need for this quality of bestowal and love. That is called building a true prayer.
There is no deficiency on the side of the Light. The Light stands ready to fill us, we just need to build that vessel. That is what we will learn and work on.
