    David,
I don’t know the extent that they were versed in the wisdom of kabbalah but yes of course, there were Arabs that came to learn with the sages.  We also find that the Sufis have a serious method themselves, I don’t know it but from what I have heard, it is a real method.

    Michael,
Everything in the books of kabbalah are speaking of spirituality.  In spirituality there are no girls and guys.
Girls and guys didn’t come until much much later in the process of development of the desire.
What we have since the act of creation, actually since the thought of creation which preceded the act of creation is a desire to bestow and a desire to receive that abundant bestowal.
The force of reception is referred to as female and the force of bestowal is referred to as male.
Of course the Creator does not need anything from us, this is how from our perspective understand these sublime things.  The Creator as if, wants to give all of His abundant delight and pleasure to the created being, to the common soul.  So what is incumbent upon us is to receive all of that abundance.  That is what He wants from us.
How to receive spiritual abundance?  That is precisely why we received the wisdom of kabbalah.  Kabbalah means to receive.

    Matthew,
Later in the curriculum we have live classes where the students can ask the instructors questions.
On this forum we are not engaging in personal, confidential things and anything else should be shared here so that each and every one can benefit as we are all in this process together.

    Helen,
All of those ages that you read about refer to qualitative degrees, although they are called as 13 years or 20 years, etc.
They all point to spiritual operations, spiritual corrections or qualities.

I think that if you opened your note book and started writing about how you perceive reality, you’d see that already some things are clarifying and within a few weeks you should write again and you’ll see that from studying the wisdom of kabbalah, a person becomes calmer, she understands how the world is operating, she understands herself and the process she is in and towards the good future where she is headed.

    Nikhil,
You are correct, we are in closed system, an integral, harmonious system where all of the pieces are connected to all of the other pieces like gears in a watch, even the smallest gear that turns affects all of the other gears.
In our spiritual work we discover more and more that the Creator is operating everything and there is no force in the world that can do anything against him.
Later when we acquire spiritual vessels and we stand exactly in the middle of reception and bestowal, that will be the point of freedom.

    Hi Matthew,
All of your instructors here at KabU are students of our teacher, the kabbalist Rav Michael Laitman.  We received all of this method from him and from the books of the kabbalists that we study together with him.
Prior to the wisdom of kabbalah there were no religions, there were different kids of actions and things that people did but after the wisdom of kabbalah revealed to humanity and then after humanity again descended into its ego, religions manifested in different parts of the world according to how the ego took a piece from the wisdom and interpreted it.
