I  need some clarity on something that I read this week. Maybe my interpretation is incorrect. In the book Kabbalah for the Student on page 33 it says “to observe everything with faith in the Torah and in the Giver of the Torah, that there is a judgement and a Judge” I thought that Kabbalah was not a religion and that there was not legalism in Kabbalah. Saying that we must observe with faith in the Torah definitely leads me to believe that this is a religion or at least a wisdom that recommends  following a religion. The Torah which is also the first 5 books of the Bible, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. I have read these books many times and they are filled with many things including the commandments, judgement from God and rules. Is this the foundation of Kabbalah? Can you please clarify this for me?

I  need some clarity on a couple of things. Do Kabbalist believe in repentance?  In Kabbalah for the Student it mentions “Open for me one aperture for repentance, such as a needlepoint and I will open for you Gates work arts and coaches enter.”

From my reading I think that Kabbalah is saying that the creator creates all good and bad events that happen. Is that correct?  I have a very hard time believing that our creator would cause children to be beaten, raped and abused so badly.  Yes, I understand that good can come from all bad and evil acts, yet  a child who has been abused so badly has a lifetime of suffering. I’m not sure I want to believe in a creator that would cause such suffering to happen. Can you explain further, why the Creator would cause this? From the videos and reading Kabbalah is telling us that ALL things come from the Creator. I want to make sure that I am understanding this correctly.

What is the quality that I feel that keeps me disconnected from others although I truly want to feel connected?  How do we over come this?  I believe that it is my past experiences that have caused this quality in me but I’m not sure how to trust enough to allow for deeper connections with those around me. I have Walked the Path of Suffering as a child and as an adult have tried for many years to overcome those experiences and even though I have a wonderful adult life there still is this quality that holds me back from true deep connection.

I’m learning what Kabbalah says is the explanation of how we shattered into the 600,000 pieces and came down the 125 steps and are now trying to work our way back up to once again be one with our Creator. I still have so much to learn and understand and still have many questions. I have followed other paths that did not seem to be the answer so I’m hesitant to just believe Kabbalah without questioning.

What are some examples of what Kabbalist would consider an act or intention of connecting Humanity?

How do we become more like the Creator?

How do we create a creature and bring that creature to unbounded delight?

We want the study of Kabbalah to help us perceive beyond our 5 senses. To help us to perceive that we are far more than this one body or this one ego. We want to perceive a reality where we are all one. We want to perceive our true nature and lead us to the desire to connect humanity.
