Hello, I have been grappling with this question for years. It concerns the suffering of animals and children – especially animals. They are innocent beings. I cannot simply accept their suffering or move past it; the awareness that someone is suffering causes me to suffer as well. According to Kabbalah, the suffering I witness is a projection of my own uncorrected inner qualities. How does this happen? How can it be that an innocent being objectively suffers physically? And how can this be “okay” if the Creator is good? Or is it possible that this suffering does not actually exist – that the creature is not suffering, and I merely perceive it as such due to my own internal states? If I correct my vessels, will the existence I perceive cease to suffer? What is the mechanism behind this? Is there anything that exists objectively? What is meant by the statement that once the entirety of creation is corrected, the world will disappear or cease to exist? How can the existence of the Creator, as a good and giving entity, be justified in light of this suffering of animals and children (not my personal, own suffering, but of the other creatures which are faultless)? I would like to receive a comprehensive explanation of this issue. I would also be grateful for references to further materials and articles that elaborate on this topic.

        Hi Izabela,

I see with the amount of understanding you already have, further explanation won’t add. Only realizing the principle you describe, will. What I see is as on a tv. I want to change it, so I walk over to the tv and argue with it and all that’s happening there. We know that’s ridiculous, but that’s how I behave every day: I argue with the tv that is my projection of reality. And even though I know these things in principle, from Kabbalah, I still cry about what’s going on, and try to alter the tv image. Let’s say it’s live tv. So if I could go to the place that is broadcasting the broadcast, I could do something there. There, I’d find out that these are all actors, for my benefit alone. Because I won’t change without some animal suffering, I see that animal suffering. Later, as you suggested, first we justify everything that ever happened. Then we see that, in actual fact, no one ever suffered, including me! You know for certain that you suffer; no, you never suffered. You had a dream, everything is wonderful. But in waking up from that dream, you did the only corrections that you ever needed. And now you have a whole adventure to go on with the Creator. All of humanity, all of reality is in a hug with you – all of it is you – and you go together to things that literally cannot be described in any language. But on the way to that you can see every moment as an adventure toward this. When one relates correctly to this wisdom (and this does take time, so don’t beat yourself up) one truly turns all of reality, every moment in life, toward spiritual benefit, and thus feels every moment as spiritually beneficial – no matter how seemingly far from spirituality that state may seem now.

Hi seth, when i look at the world i think…When i am old like all of you(lol) what will be left of this world, there are so many weird creepy people with so much power that are corrupting the worlds governments and the governments them self are destroing each others countries, and i fear war in places i never thoght. Immoral acts commited by people at the expense of innocent children and billionairs who openly talk about f-ing us over with disease and ai advancments and then offering the soulotions?? It seems like no matter where you look somebodys is out to get you and harm you and it feels hopeless, what do we do, how do we know what to avoid, whats actually good for us, when i covid times i took the vaccine…i was fine but some werent and later i heared them say that it wasnt finalized etc…im not trying to spread propaganda just as an example, but what do we trust if there is none else besides him, it feels like no matter what you do your screwed…and that makes me feel “whats the point of life at all or the study when everything is so vile and disgustingly corrupt….The food, the phone, the clothes i feel like i cant escape everything thats supposedly harming me. How can one find peace in the creator if he cant trust that he is physically safe in the first place?

This text wasnt the most upbeat so i would like to wish all the friends a wonderful day, i hope for you all you can be connected !!!!!!!

      • #504392

No, if I’m safe and everything is going to be great, I’ll never come to Kabbalah, let alone reach the goal. I’m willing to move on condition that I’m not going to be ok as I am. You’re suggesting then that I’ll have a reason to move without the Creator showing me a terrifying world? That’s only if the friends will show me a good spiritual goal to run for. The Creator, for His part, conceals the spiritual world and instead shows me an increasingly scary world. The friends must elevate the spiritual to the point that I run toward it. Reaching it becomes my concern. Then I won’t need so many troubles to push me from behind.

I’m sorry but I don’t understand, okay sure if I change my inner perception though the work the world will eventually change but what do I do in the mean time while the police are corrupt or we become sick because of the food, or free så each gets more and more diminished? I’m sorry if I sound gloomy but I just want to feel like there’s a sense of safety because when I don’t feel it my thinking is preoccupied by all of the negatives. Like what am I supposed to do if Russia bombs my country tomorrow for example, pray it away? Hope I’m not to irratating

          You’re not irritating. Continue asking.

Here’s what Baal HaSulam says in Shamati 138, Concerning Fear that Sometimes Comes Upon a Person:

When fear comes upon a person, he should know that there is none else but Him. And even witchcraft. And if he sees that fear overcomes him, he should say that there is no such thing as chance, but the Creator has given him an opportunity from above, and he must contemplate and study the end to which he has been sent this fear. It appears that it is so that he will overcome and say, “There is none else besides Him.”

But if after all this, the fear has not departed from him, he should take it as an example and say that his servitude of the Creator should be in the same measure of the fear, meaning that the fear of heaven, which is a merit, should be in the same manner of fear that he now has. That is, the body is impressed by this superficial fear, and exactly in the same way that the body is impressed, so should be the fear of heaven.

So, the Creator didn’t equip reality with such a mechanism that I can “pray away” what the Creator Himself sent to wake everyone up. What I can do is, with that fear that He is giving me for myself, try to turn it into fear for others and even into yearning for their connection, to be united “as one man in one heart,” above all the differences, without one side being right or wrong, but simply in one hug with the Creator inside.

This weeks torah portion pinchas. The sages say he is a reincarnation of Moses, or Eliyahu. and Rabash says pinchas is Isaac. And that Pinchas  blocked the Din on the people, as if a man being pulled back by his friend. (I Thought that was cool)
whats all this about, and if Moses is the greatest to live, why does he need to be reincarnated if he reached the highest level? Isn’t BHS said to be the reincarnation of Moses too? Random thoughts. Also looking for inspiration.

      • #504254

We too are those same generations from before, reincarnating, because after all, it’s my soul, it all belongs to me – I’m Adam HaRishon – and there is nothing else to do in this reality or in some other reality, except to bring this vessel to correction, to unite in me all parts of reality in bonds of “love the other as yourself,” so that inside of this general vessel all the good destined for it in the Thought of Creation will be revealed. If a certain soul is needed in this generation, then that soul is revealed. Or perhaps he is in the generation in a concealed way, as it’s said, “you don’t have a generation without the likes of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Also, it can be that a Kabbalist isn’t materially in this world, but he’s helping us. It depends on what we need; all the Kabbalists are with us, one way or another, longing for us to reach a singular desire, that we want nothing else but the Creator, such that I’m willing to unite all the parts of my vessel in order to do so.

Those matters of reincarnation are not simple, are very far from what people have imagined or can imagine reincarnation might be. You see for yourself that one soul can be all kinds of different things according to different sages. This can be explained but not in a way that makes things less confusing. Until one attains each one of these souls, and discovers how each one exists in the system to help him on his way, these things can’t be understood.

Do I change anything by looking at the media? How much of it is what’s actually going on vs. how much of it is what it will be beneficial for somebody if ill believe x, y and z? Even if it’s true, do I affect reality by knowing about it? Or am I only spending energy and attention in places that change nothing and don’t benefit me? All the world is happening on a tv screen, a projection from within me. All that I do doesn’t change a thing. Only actions to draw the Reforming Light from Above, where everything in our world of results is decided, can change the future. All else is pre-decided. The bombs will fall on a date that is already on the calendar.

All the “people” in the Torah are the qualities in us that we need to scrutinize and find. Only the Upper Light we draw during the study of Kabbalah can illuminate them in us. The quality of Moses in a person emerges from another quality called Pharoah’s house. Moses’s wife comes from the house of Midian, Jethro. Moses nutures Pinchas, who is actually Moses on a higher degree. At this stage, all the elements within us are ready to wage war on Midian, meaning reawaken all the corrupted desires that have yet to be corrected. This is a spiritual calculation, above the Barrier to the spiritual world – well above the Barrier. This is called finding the number of Israel who are in or out of the camp. This is after the degree called desert – which is VAK – where we have to “food”, meaning no attainment of the Light; it’s already the degree of GAR, receiving in order to bestow. A “woman” in spirituality means a desire to receive, which is why in this portion there’s the matter of women, because those desires in me are now up for correction. Moses climbs Mount Avarim and watches from there because he’s the quality of Bina, bestowal to bestow, with which quality I can’t enter the land of Israel. The next degree is Joshua, son of Nun, an extension of Moses’s degree, like Pinchas is an extension of the same soul, which is what the quality called Moses in us develops into. Then, he advances to the state of Joshua. Moses, observing from the mountain, brings to all the qualities in me called Israel, the Light of Hochma, the light of seeing. The whole issue of sacrificing is about the qualities in me that I see are in my way of all the sublime good, and I’m willing to slaughter this internal quality. However, Makriv, in Hebrew, means both sacrificing and “bringing closer”. Thus, through this we draw closer to the Creator and become like Him, called the work of the Kohenim, Levites, the parts called Israel in me that bring the sacrifices. It’s all according to “Man is a small world” (Midrash Tanchuma). A person includes in him all these qualities on levels of Still, vegetative, animate, and speaking – thus in me are these lands, people, the temple, the desert… these are all inside you.

So, when it comes to corporeal life, we should strive for growth in our endevours such as relationships, buissnes, health etc

Should we be egoistical in the corporeal world tho? I get the sense that kabbaöah wants us to protect ourself outisde of the enviroment? To what extent, ofcourse physically and not allowing mental/emotinall abuse so on. But how strict should w be with people around us in terms of boundries, how precises should we plan how we want our life to look like in terms of what we toloreat and dont, peoples behaviours demeanor towrds us, should we be like ” my way or the high way” or because we study spirtuality..be more flexible and not cut people of easily? Ive been thinking alot about how i want my corporeal life to be, i dont want that to affect my spirtual growth though by being to strict on how i want everything to happen.

I hope this question is making sense

      • #503874

I work in this world and solve corporeal problems as if the Creator does not exist at all. After the problems are solved in the way that is normal and acceptable in my society, I need to say that the Creator did everything, I did nothing. If I have an overdraft in the bank or a problem at work or a health problem – I don’t pray. I go to the doctor, or whatever’s the common sense thing to do in the situation. People think this is not spiritual; this is actually spiritual because if you pray, you erase the situation that the Creator put before you, and ask it to disappear. The Creator put this problem before you, and He made the laws of this world pretty much clear. The fact that I don’t like these laws or want to bend them to my will, that’s understood. But He brought the problem, and also left me, in this world, a solution for me to find. Once I find it and solve the problem, I say that the Creator governed all, including me, the doctor, and whoever.

I have been so grateful to Be getting back to studying as i get stronger. I have been thinking ‘oh I can’t wait ‘ But as I get stronger the feelings are just the opposite. I get depressed and appear to be making up excuses not to study. Things like ‘what should i review first?”Should i read early in the day or late at night.’ It’s ridiculous. I know it’s ridiculous but where are the feelings coming from? I know this isnt coming the Creator, but what’s causing this? It’s like I’m throwing rocks in my own path. I’m powering through to make a routine for myself and thereby
get into a routine . Thank you, Sally

      • #503579

If I move away from the path, even for a legitimate reason, it will be harder to start – like starting a bicycle. The slower I go, the harder it gets. From a full stop, it’s the hardest. From a standstill, I have no heart or mind that can guide me except away from spirituality. I have to simply get moving without thinking and replace my thoughts with those of the Kabbalists. Like I’m a recording device, I need to simply reinstall all these materials on my hard drive.

How does one deal with so called heartbreak, there was atopic video about it on youtube but i didnt understadnd Rav, when dealing with despari and fear of the future, what do you do? I mean maybe the asnere is easy, go to the creator but how?

      • #503338

If I use it to turn to the Creator then it’s spiritual fuel, which I don’t always have. If I truly refine this fuel into prayer, then on the one hand, the fuel is used up – the pain seemingly dissipates – and on the other hand, I raised a true prayer. Ultimately, this whole world is for turning into prayer. It needs to become a prayer of many, a prayer that arises out of connection with and is for others. How to go from an individual prayer to that, is a scrutiny.

okay, Help me out here, my image of a prayer that makes an affect is passinaote outcry on your knees, despreta for help. At the moment i dont have the pain to generate such fuel yet i feel like in suffering do i wait for another situation of suffering? When you say a prayer of many, do you mean a prayer that many people also raise (like in general people pray alot for guidance) or that the prayer i make should be for many people out there?

I can sense that what im feeling and wanting to pray for, others also go through and i can rationally think ok, let me pray this for others aswell, but it dosent feel like a burning sensation right now, yet i really want to be elviated from this experience

        • #503431

So, there is what’s called a prayer Above Reason. It’s not exactly what I want, but what others want. I need to integrate with them to understand what they want so I can correct and raise that prayer to the Creator.

Also, it doesn’t matter what you do with your body. You can stand on your head. What’s counted is the extent to which this is the one and only thing that I want.
