It is said that the BHS had so much resistance from other jews, they tried to stop his books being read by overwhelming the market with their own kabbalistic books, but if they were against  the dissemination of it, then what kind of wisdom did they disclose in these  books? Or were  they “watered down” without revealing the end goal?

The religious innately have a resistance to the study of the internality of the Torah as this negates the entire premise of the foundation of Judaism as a religion.
