Kabbalah brings me closer to the goal of having total bestowal quality. Altruism seemed an impossible and silly thing to me. Now, it seems something hard to achieve. Now, I understand it and feel it occasionally. And yes, I am getting bigger and bigger challenges that I cannot overcome. I have learned I can be altruistic.

What inspired me most is that out of all the ways of spiritual paths kabbalah seems most logical and scientific.
I have learned that I am a will to receive and I need to strive to become like the creator through equivalency of form.
I wish for all the students to connect and become one.

What inspired me: Learning of the reshimot and that there is a path back to the creator

What have I learned about myself: That at my core I have the deepest longing to receive and give love, which I assigned to others but it was really a longing for the creator.

What do i wish for my fellow students: to achieve equivalence of from with the creator

      1 What most inspired me?

Stages of Creation … explains our self-centered nature in a way that we can breathe and not feel dysfunctional. Also that the goal of transformation to an altruistic motivation not only is possible but will happen through a process of imitation and dealing with my desires one by one, with confidence in faith above reason.

      2 What learned about myself?

I can clearly see that my desire to receive for myself alone has periodically caused great division and misery for me and all others involved … but also that moments of altruism have brought the opposite; emotional catharsis, joy, sense of purpose, feeling blessed and alive. What more evidence do I need to believe that this wisdom is valid!

Also, the desire I need to focus on correcting first has become so obvious during the process that I’ve already started … and immediately experienced the push-backs of my “body” trying to deflect me!

3 What I wish my fellow students?

Open minds to push on when old religious paradigms make the material feel challenging, and the strength to put the wisdom into practice. I’m sure that the hardest part will be getting started but things will gain momentum with some successes fresh in our memories and the steady strengthening of our new spiritual sensors.

I’m new to Kabbalah,  but have been fortunate to have my wife doing this with me so we can discuss what we’re learning and how its affecting us. She has been studying this for years and has been a wonderful humble guide, along with the course teachers. I hope that my fellow students can also find ways, including this forum, to connect and reflect with fellow seekers for a richer experience.

What most inspired me in the course?

Many things did but the one most prominent right now due to the wars going on is the awareness of why suffering happens here on Earth. I’ve gained a better understanding about the ‘why’ it happens and what I and others can do about it. The concept of rising above conflict to meet at a point where all agree is so heart warming, even genius. It makes so much sense to me. This concept helped me to understand suffering in my own life so I’ve found comfort where I use to feel loss.

What have I learned about myself in the process?

That after a lifetime of searching and learning I found something that finally makes sense. I have a lot to learn yet, but I’ve gained a sound basic understanding.

What do I wish for my fellow students in their spiritual development?

I use to get hung up on trying to remember every little detail like I was preparing for some kind of final test.

I wish for my fellow students to just relax, (those at the same stage as I am) pay attention! but relax and take in as much as you comfortably can. There’s plenty of time to keep on learning. Work on getting the basic concepts. Stop and reflect on the new points you learn and see how it sets with you. Don’t ignore any burning questions. Ask. If you don’t that question will fester and cloud your brain against anything new you try to take in. If you disagree with something, make note of it and keep on learning. Maybe something down the road will help you understand something better or maybe it’s something you need to ask questions about. Don’t keep yourself in a vacuumed learning space. You’re not alone. Ask your questions and share your personal joys of discovery. Others will benefit from your expressions too.

I wish all love and kind guidance along this learning path.

What most inspired me in the course?

The thought, as the song goes, that the Creator has the whole world in his hand. Although I might not understand why everything happens, I can be confident that it is ONLY in his hands and that all is for our good.
What have I learned about myself in the process?

That I need to look at all sides, and see that the “bad” in our world is for our good, it is for our learning, it is a teaching moment. We can either learn from it, or we can continue down the same path and have to deal with a larger teaching moment, ie the path of suffering. Knowledge is not the answer, the answer lies in the heart.
What do I wish for my fellow students in their spiritual development?

I wish the same thing I wish for the whole human race, that we all choose the path of light and not the path of suffering. That we see we are all one soul, and that we break through the barrier and join the light and ascend the 125 degrees.
