ChrisParticipantIf a person, say a high level Kabbalist who has attained bestowal, looks at the world, does he/she see only goodness? Or do they have to wait for the rest of humanity to attain bestowal before all the bad things we endure no longer exist? Or does the Kabbalist see the same things we see, violence, illness, suffering, but sees it all differently, sees that, although painful, it’s necessary for our growth.

ChrisParticipantI know we shouldn’t be mixing other spiritual paths with Kabbalah, but I often think of our Will to Receive as our fundamental awareness, and this awareness receives the experience of reality, which is projected by the Will to Bestow. Similar to the philosophy of the Indian, Advaita Vedanta.
Advaita Vedanta suggests that each individuals awareness is kind of like a reflection of the one great awareness, which is all that exists. The analogy is that humanity is like a massive collection of pots filled with water, each pot has it’s own individual shape, but within each water filled pot is a reflection of the sun. The sun representing the One Awareness (consciousness) which is the only awareness that exists.
Could the collective soul of Adam HaRishon be described like this?
The Will to Receive is the sun (Adam HaRishon), and our individual ‘souls’ are the water filled pots.
Ps I really enjoy watching The Great Transition, always interesting and fun.

ChrisParticipantIs a part of this about letting go of control, so to speak. Trying to understand that everything in reality is God, even all of my own thoughts and actions. That the only ‘free will’ I have is to want my selfish nature of taking, to somehow flip polarity and become a nature of giving?
