What most inspired me in the Course?
– I was inspired by the videos and the illustrations about how the connection to the Creator occurs. I was also inspired by sessions that moved from one level to another in order to elevate mentally.
What have I learned about myself in the process?
I have learned that my life and my connection with the Creator is not at all about religion but about my actual desire to connect with this energy source which continues to give. I learned that I wasn’t lost and I am truly on a journey and now I’ve discovered roads and I have a map and now I am heading where I am supposed to. I can say that my journey has now received a goal and a path. I am developing and growing in wisdom and understanding.
How do I eradicate the belief system I have about the Creator, the world and the way things should be as I was taught growing up? I am reading and listening and trying to put things into perspective but still my belief system (ie. ego) gets in the way.
I can connect with the upper force (Creator) by changing my intentions first then I will begin to discover that things around me are changing because of this new way of thinking about self and the world around me. Knowing that the Creator desires for me to receive pleasure (not as in the pleasure of the world) allows me to understand that the processes I go through line up with the Laws and principles. Therefore, I must try to correct my way of thinking so that I can continue to connect on each level.
I really don’t have an actual question but rather a comment. I believe that this journey is a very interesting one. The concept of Spirituality is a little different than I have known or seen and so for me I am listening, reading and en-grafting new and relevant information which makes sense to me. The pieces of the puzzle also are now coming together and fit better than they did before. Thank you for being great teachers.
My wish for my fellow students if that when you have attained a level, any level or degree of spirituality, that you share it in loving way with someone who may be lost or searching for their own belonging. I find that there are so many that are searching and so little that are willing to plant a seed in order that it may be watered and grow. I also wish for all my fellow students that whatsoever they are looking for they will attain and grow in it.
So far I have learned that it’s not a bad thing to receive and it is a good thing to give. Still, it is better to give even though receiving is not necessarily negative. I have learned that when I attribute my receiving to the Creator I find it easier to give because of the connection that is being actualized. I have also understood that because of my limitations and the screen which forms those limitations I am not void of them but I must now add to the screen the 6th part of the screen and move in a direction which will contribute to the connection.
