    Hi Greg,

To annoy…there is such a state a person goes through where he studies in order to annoy his friends. There’s no need to open it up because one has to discover this inside, that he finds himself studying with that intention – even though he had hoped to have better intentions. It’s one of the many misdirections of the ego that one will discover while trying to locate the corrcet direction of Lishma.

Lishma means for the sake of the Creator. And Lo Lishma means he aims that way, but it turns out that the Creator has to grant him Lishma – because the person doesn’t have such a fuel, but only all sorts of other things can fuel him.

It’s more in the grad program that we learn the details of this work. It’s expressed in whatever I have – I have words, thoughts, actions… because I don’t yet have spiritual assets to work with.

It’s a time period. It could not happen for another ten million years, if we don’t correct ourselves by free choice.

A desire is a lack for something specific. And yes, it has fuel when it has the possibility of a payoff for the expenditure of effort. It works exactly as a gas tank, in this regard.

Yes, I’m still fully operated, even when the Point in the Heart awakens. It’s a desire too, but which is uninterested in what’s going on in this world of child’s play, wants to reach the Upper World and nothing else. This knowing Point knows there’s nothing to do here but live and realize it [the Point]. But it gets swallowed by other desires that use this force for other purposes, and keep it from being realized. It’s only hope is an environment that strengthens it’s spiritual aspiration.

We have a hard time identifying it only because that’s all there is, in us, outside us…
