By understanding that the world is under the complete dominion of the Upper Force that is running through and filling the whole reality, and that you did nothing. It did everything. It only gives us the illusion that we’re acting, later we’ll see that we did nothing. We’re not responsible for anything good or bad that we did. That’s what we need to say in each moment. And yet, we must act. So, how should I best respond now, to all that the Upper Force did? After I’ve acted, as though everything depends on me and me alone, I again ascribe everything to the Upper Force. In this way you behave towards reality in the most correct, least-delusional way. The only real failure is that one did not relate this way to reality. This sorts out everything correctly.
Why “by becoming still”? Let’s say I could neutralize my current level of ego. But in each moment a new ego is born in me. That’s why diets don’t work. You really committed not to eat cake. But not the you now, the you at the time you made the commitment. You’re really new.
I do need to establish a Point that is above my ego, an expert point. This is hard to imagine because until now everything has been within my ego, and whatever seems to be outside it turns out to be also part of it. Like the fish under water that keeps trying to identify which part of his world would qualify as this quality of dryness that he has head so much of.
The inclination towards Kabbalah is usually the starting point of this “expert point” though we can’t imagine how this vague longing will become an actual sense to feel what’s beyond the ego, which is the Upper Force.
If you’ve had a baby that you really want to feed, and he’s refusing everything you offer, you understand who’s got the power: the baby. Malchut understands that due to the Upper Light’s will to bestow, she is, in the sense that she can either receive or not receive, in control now; and in that sense, it’s as though she is higher than the Upper Force.

Even Einstein would have a hard time here. The car is a good metaphor except in this case you, the real you, that is the soul, is the car, and to get inside it you have to build it first, and to build it, you need the Upper Light to build it for you – upon your request. To have this request you need to first learn about it, and search for these things within. They exist in you and all of it is a simple as a baby walking. It only seems complex because we’re in a 2D universe learning about a 3D universe, for example. We can’t imagine it. But when we discover it we find that it’s very simple. You’ll see that this whole Preface was like the ABCs song. It was just very foreign to us because we’re so immersed in our imaginary reality.
