One should always be in contact with There Is None Else Besides Him. However, the pleasures that are of the same kind that all animals receive are not the pleasures that the Creator enjoys. Rather, those are called, “neither praised nor condemned.” But be in the feeling of There is None Else Besides Him, and He is the Good Doing Good, and these things too will take their right relationship to the path.
It’ll all clear up eventually. The Light is unchanging. The vessel’s qualities determine how the Light is felt. If it has a vessel for a hamburger, in the Light it tastes hambuger. If it’s a desire for wine, it tastes wine in the Light. That’s if we’re talking about the world of Eyn Sof, when the Light wasn’t restricted. Afterward, not all desires can be used, and so the Light is felt only in those desires that can be filled in order to bestow. As we descend through the degrees down until our world, this is what’s going on, until the system reaches a state where there are no desires left that can be filled, in order to bestow. And then there’s darkness: our world. We need to rise up the degrees.
We get an invitation to realize the Reshimo, an awakening from a higher degree, through the society, the friends, the teacher. It’s preset — the degree standing before me — it just depends how I receive these awakenings, and thus how soon I’ll reach this upper degree. I clothe into the ten, and that’s how I realize it. That’s practically all there is to it.
If it’s a system, the lungs can’t override the brain, however united in agreement the lungs might be. They have to nullify to the brain.
A conflict is a revelation of the shattered state that was already present. We’re all shattered. I could be unaware of that; aware but indifferent (I want to remain as I am); or aware and in a crisis over it so that I’m screaming out to the Creator for help. And these states can manifest externally, too. For example, I can be fighting with the ten, and not, in practice, in the acknowledgement that the state is a result of my shattered attitude to them. Meaning I know it, in theory, but the way I relate to the state isn’t such that I fix only my attitude instead of setting out to fix the friends. That means I’m shattered but unconscious of it.
