I feel my desire for spiritual things grow. I expect this course to help me prepare to work with friends. I have had a small taste of it with the weekly Q&A sessions and time in the retreat; just enough to make me feel very “hungry” for connection, and to take what we learned and put it into practice in my daily life.
GregParticipantThe more I study, the more opposite I feel I am in my nature to what the Creator wants me to be. I need the help of friends, to read kabbalistic books and learn from a teacher, and to have a true desire for spirituality so that I can give a true prayer to the creator to transform me to be like him, otherwise, there is no hope for spiritual progress without suffering. I hope for my fellow students to find the will of the Creator along the shortest path possible.

How would these many issues be approached differently? #377769GregParticipantThought-provoking question! What would our world look like if people were to be connected? If our world is the world of results of the spiritual world, our approach to everything would be for the good of others. Our approach to everything would be for the good of others and to bring joy to the Creator. It’s so opposite to what we are now, that I cannot envision it, I think we can imagine it, but we’ll only know it if the Creator reveals his will to us because we would be living according to his will and his plan, not our own.
June 23, 2024 at 5:58 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #377128GregParticipantBy myself, I am nothing but a shattered piece with a point in the heart. My desire alone is not enough. I need other people because we need to put ourselves back together to rebuild what was created before we descended. If I help others, that point becomes larger, the desire is enhanced, the stronger the reflected light will be, the more joy we can give our creator. Like it says in Nehamiah 8:10 …The joy of the Lord is my strength. It is his joy, not mine that is the most important, and it can only be given with the intention of the group.
GregParticipantNot really much of a question, but as I learn something new every week Bible verses I had long forgotten come to me. Nehamiah 8:10 reads And he said to them, “Go, eat fat foods and drink sweet drinks and send portions to whoever has nothing prepared, for the day is holy to our Lord, and do not be sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. .” I find myself emotionally charged and encouraged to keep studying, albeit still independently. When these seemingly random recollections happen is it perhaps a sign that the upper force might be preparing me for what’s to come? I pray every day for my future 10. I have no control of what environment he will bring my way and I have no way to do anything on my own. This is quite a bit to process.
June 17, 2024 at 12:26 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: Considering our journey thus far, how can we fortify our connection with the illuminating force? How do we amplify its transformative influence? #376435GregParticipantThere are several ingredients, love for your friends, intention to bestow to the group, studying and sharing together, paying attention to the teacher.
