What resonated me the most from the previous course was the discussion on the path of pain/suffering vs. the path of light. I also like the idea of the collective soul and what that means for us as a global society and how we can use that information in order to bring us back into harmony with the creator. I’m hoping this course provides some practical teachings to help me walk the path of light and reach equivalence of form so that I can transform my own life into one of happiness and abundance and help others do the same.

Freedom is knowing that we don’t have any. Stop trying to control everything and just let go. Simply be present and have faith in the higher power (the light). Let it gently guide you towards your true purpose.

    What inspired me the most?

    – Finding a community of like-minded spiritual seekers who have dedicated themselves to the attainment of the upper forces of reality and the hope that I may myself one day reach equivalence of form with the creator.

What did I learn about myself in the process?

    – Probably my biggest takeaway is the concept of infinite bestowal/reception and how those two forces shape our desires and the evolution of reality, and how, through the wisdom of Kabbalah, use our will to receive in an altruistic manner. Knowledge of the path of pain vs. the path of light has provided me with a new awareness of how my life unfolds and how I can use the wisdom of Kabbalah to walk a higher purpose and align myself with the intent of the creator. Lastly, the point in the heart really resonates with me. It explains why I have had and obsession with the unseen worlds and spiritual forces since I was child.

What I wish for my fellow students?

    – Wherever your spiritual journey takes you, may you find peace, joy, equanimity and compassion with wisdom in your practice and in your daily lives.

Can I please get a sincere response? This is a sincere question. So far, I have seen nothing but cosmological models and ontological/metaphysical theories. At what point does the wisdom of Kabbalah become practical? Is that even taught in this forum? I came to Kabbalah as a sincere and true seeker without expectations, tabula rasa if you will. While I find this system interesting and can personally identify and recognize some of its aspects as truth, I’m yet to see how this system can be utilized to improve my life. Every culture has developed a system and it’s my personal belief that if there is any empirical truth it all points to the same end. My problem is that with all my years of study I’m still just as stupid and miserable as I always was. Please give me some hope that Kabbalah can uplift me, and that there is a practical teaching to go along with the theoretical constructs.

So far, I haven’t. I’ve been studying religion, spirituality and philosophy for over ten years and to this day, nothing has really “hit” yet. I’m waiting for the day I experience the “aha” moment as I tilt my head back and laugh at the sky. I’m finding Kabbalah very interesting, and so far, it’s presented some useful models for the universe which I agree with that make sense to me. I’m just hoping that as I further my study of Kabbalah I find what it is I’ve been searching for all these years. I’m hoping that by studying Kabbalah I will find some practical, empirical, testable truths which I can apply to my life that will allow me to live with greater joy, peace and equanimity.

I understand that we live beneath the barrier of machsom, and that we are limited by our mechanisms of perception. The point in the heart and the “sixth sense” keep being discussed. I believe I have this “point”, so how do I go about developing it and attaining the “sixth sense?” That is what I seek; pragmatic spiritual tech, not just models! I appreciate that groundwork has to be laid, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed what a fantastic and generous job the instructors have done at breaking down complex spiritual topics for the complete novice; but respectfully and sincerely, please get on with it! I have been traveling this road for too long! As time passes I become increasingly fearful that I will never find the answers I seek.

I expect the lesson to delve into the Kabbalistic perspective on destiny. I hope to attain a wisdom that will allow me to better control mine (destiny) to create the life I’ve always dreamed of.
