The whole concept of everyone in the world being a disowned part of myself is rather startling! It really has made me listen to the news in a whole different way. I’m finding it impossible to hate and reject the politicians I used to enjoy hating and rejecting, because I’m looking them at disowned parts of myself, rather than as some external enemy.

I can feel it when I’m doing coursework and reading materials, etc. I can often feel it when I’m going about my daily business. But (of course) there are still hours that go by when I’m doing the stuff of life and my attention is only on those things. I never feel like I’ve lost connection with what I’m learning, just that I lose conscious connection. Rav Laitman talks about being aware of the upper world and the corporeal world at the same time, all the time. As a beginning student, I’m happy to be somewhat aware ANY of the time. Is there a way to “forget” less often, or to “remember” more often?
March 28, 2023 at 4:13 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #316297Lora VatalaroParticipantI’m glad that the question confines itself to asking about helping others who have active points in the heart. If I had to think about how to help “everyone,” I’d feel defeated before I even started. I’ll strive to be open to the points in the heart of my eventual group in such a way that I contribute to the intention to boost our spiritual development. I will be conscious of my ego’s participation which will object to seeing the group members as beloved. I’m sure my understanding of how to help others will develop in ways I can’t yet understand.

March 20, 2023 at 5:09 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: Considering our journey thus far, how can we fortify our connection with the illuminating force? How do we amplify its transformative influence? #315697Lora VatalaroParticipantI can say that I kind of feel the “light” being more adjacent to me as I study, so I don’t have to just take it on faith. It inspires me to continue studying. I think we can strengthen the influence of the reforming light by trying to be aware as often as possible that there is none else beside him, by holding an intention that the reforming light enter our vessels, and by continuing to build a sense of connection to the Kab U community of teachers and students.
