It means to shift from seeing the world and the people in it as being outside of myself and not my concern, to seeing them as connected to me and as reflections of the Creator. Â This would naturally shift me to want to be good to them as a way to give joy to the Creator.

Is it important to try to memorize all of the new terms, or just keep absorbing what I can and continue on?

April 10, 2023 at 3:44 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Starting a new course in Kabbalah is similar to a fetus moving on to a new trimester. The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #317684Lora VatalaroParticipantI want my intentions and actions to enable the reforming light to usher me through the birth canal into spiritual adulthood.  I desire the correction  of my egoistic desires so that I may better participate in tikkun olam.  I want to better understand how The Minyan works.
April 7, 2023 at 2:25 pm EDT in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #317276Lora VatalaroParticipantThe best experience for me from the previous course was really understanding where my hunger to experience the Light really comes from. Then, to learn that my hunger is what will help me to contribute to the elevation of everyone is amazing to me.
I expect that this next course will help me through my reluctance to connect with a minyan.
Lora VatalaroParticipantWhat most inspired my in the course was the modeling I witnessed in Julian and the instructors encountered in all of the related materials that I watched.  The consistency of annulment of their egos, and how obvious that was to me, really showed me that it’s possible.  I’ve never encountered teaching without coercion before.
I have learned how sincere my desire to contribute light to the world is and have glimpsed a potential to move beyond my natural tendency to not need others.
I wish for my fellow students to comfortably continue on this learning path and to deepen their confidence in being essential to the eventual elevation of all.
