ParticipantAccording to what I understood from lesson 1 in Part 2 particularly from the article “There’s None Else Beside Him” and the explanation provided by Tony, the only freedom we have regarding any situation we face in life, is in our attitude, our inner intention. We can drive our action with the intention to receive egoistically or with the intention to bestow. This is our only freedom of choice.

ParticipantWith this lesson I realized that I ‘ started to integrate further the notions studied in Part 1. I am more comfortable with the vocabulary so far. Reading and listening to all of the material, all this work and efforts pays off I guess. In this week’ article and explanations given by Tony about There’s none else beside him” really moved me. With the teaching in this article I started to have a good idea how to apply the intention to connect through bestowal in day to day life. I learned what is a prayer and what is the purpose in what condition our prayers are answered by the creator and why.
What blew my mind, is the fact that we are really like puppets! We control nothing: our thoughts, feelings, desires, actions are all predetermined by the creator.
Really I learned and felt a lot.

ParticipantNot yet thanks. I joined today lesson part 2 so I need to absorb what I grasped, re-read the text, listen to the related material, then let it sit for a day or two.

ParticipantWhat can I add to all your comments!
As for me I know that the Creator is inside each of us and everywhere outside of us and we should try to feel it as Ricky Moses rightly commented (see #433692) and many others in one form or another.
But to actually feel “There is None Else Besides Him.” I pondered about that. I feel It when I am in a certain state: really focused, really attentive, immerse in the moment so to speak and I observe intently and suddenly a miracle happens. I connect. Time and space tend to disappear and it is like I become the thing that I observe. Mostly it is easier for me in the outside world with nature (physical). What happens is I connect with the attribute of the thing I observe and sense, I become the thing so to speak :
for example in some places I can connect with the power and the electric charge of the elements, it is easy because their presence is very strong all of you would connect to0, like in Southern California around St Andrea’s fault: the Santana wind so dry that it chapps your lips and can ignite bushes at any moment starting a fire beyond control, The forming of an hurricane on the ocean, I can feel its contained force, the abnormal swelling of the surf, the shake of the hearth. Al the elements waking up together. I feel awe and sometimes fear. Then I feel so small and humble and I think; men control nothing, the fools, they can do nothing against the power of the elements. Then even when everything is calm and quiet I can still feel the immense presence of the elements, their seemingly sleeping power surrounding everything around me and in me. You get energize in these places.
I can also feel and be touched by the love of a stream, this is what I receive around water, unconditional love and compassion, be touched by the eyes of an animal, the eyes of very young baby reflecting pure joy and light, the innocence of a child and so on. What is behind? Pure love, beauty, power, joy all attributes of the divine that shows itself in everything and everyone.
It does not happen all the time of course it is some epiphany that I call enchantment. Surely it happened to all of you one time of an other. But I think if we observe and listen intently with the desire to connect, it happens sometimes, and other times, when we are respectful of what is in front of us it happens without us looking for it, and our heart jump .May be I am very sensitive, I do not know.
I do not see Its attribute often in me, believe me! But it happened some times. You know the feeling when someone is in need of something and suddenly you surprise yourself, you commit yourself, you give just like that bypassing any desire, any analysis without wishing for a return. So once in a while I can observe the attribute of selfless generosity in me, in some others also. So may be there is a way there a seed of more potential bestow.
My apologies for this long answer but I really reflect on the question and I got carried on For me it happens that way.
April 16, 2025 at 11:57 am EDT in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #433813Lorie
ParticipantMy best experience in part one had been the feeling that I was coming home. Like I had been waiting for these teachings all my life. What I heard spoke deeply to my heart, there was a sense of familiarity (déjà vu) somehow even if I could not understand/or feel all the notions explained to us. It was exhilarating, at the same time, there was an undertone of sadness. I had been listening to some interviews with Dr. Leitman on Youtube and when I felt some of the things he was explaining, in other words when I came to some realization it moved me so much I cried for a few minutes.
What I expect from this course: I want to learn more because I feel that Kabbalah will provide me with a method, a direction to help me grow spiritually. Also learning and interacting with like minded people will be a good thing for each of us,personally, I do not know anybody that share these concerns. I am eager to start practicing , the correction (tikun) among others.

ParticipantThis introduction course in Kabbalah, really spoke to my heart yearning a feeling of being home, and I am very grateful to have find KabU. It gives me hope, direction and and a sound method to pursue my spiritual development.
I wish to everybody to persist in their work, knowing that we are supporting everybody, helping each other in this quest. We are sronger together. Wish you the best
What I liked in this last lesson is the exercise consisting of looking to identify the intention behind everything, object, piece of art or situation although I think we do it instinctively and it explain in part why we like or dislike someone or something, it gives me a new perspective which is: I can connect and bond with one aspect of a being through understanding its true intention.
