I have realised more about egoism and what it really is. This has also made me more aware of my own egotistic desires and how I need help to overcome these desires. By doing so, I look forward and am inspired to be in service to more people, as I progress within Kabbalah.
I wish to thank Julian and everyone else involved in this course for all of their efforts in imparting this wisdom.
February 7, 2022 at 2:33 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Imagine if people were connected according to the spiritual law of love. How would these many issues be approached differently? #281115MargaretParticipantThe action of bestowal would be triggered, and since Love is unselfish, the connections between people would be wholly positive. Everybody’s approach would be based on putting the needs of others before their own. The world would pulsate with love, combined with all that is good. It would be the most beautiful place to be. I don’t think words can do justice to this new way of being and living.
January 31, 2022 at 2:37 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #280428MargaretParticipantBy opening our hearts and by loving our neighbours (friends/colleagues/co-workers) as ourselves. We help others with the point in the heart by not allowing our ego to take charge, especially if we feel upset by something someone says. We need to remain focused on our united desire to connect with the spiritual realm and not allow ourselves to be distracted.
January 24, 2022 at 4:39 am EST in reply to: Preparation Prompt: Considering our journey thus far, how can we fortify our connection with the illuminating force? How do we amplify its transformative influence? #223360MargaretParticipantThrough studying Kabbalah, so that we can apply what we learn in our everyday lives. I am learning to scrutinise myself more and more, so that I may look at how better I can focus on the act of bestowal, particularly within my daily relationships eg. love my neighbour as myself.
January 17, 2022 at 2:12 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Prompt: What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail? #222715MargaretParticipantIt means for us to emulate how our Creator acts towards us, so that we can behave selflessly towards our fellowmen and women, putting them before us.
January 12, 2022 at 4:48 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Congratulations on progressing through the intermediary stages of your Kabbalah learning by staring this new course! Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #222204MargaretParticipantI want to know and feel the Light, so I can develop and grow within it by bringing love and compassion into every aspect of my life and my relationships. I wish to achieve a much closer relationship with the Light and our Creator in this semester through the practical application of Kabbalah.
