I believe a relationship must be established. We can read and watch videos to learn but we are not going to experience anything without taking time away and, from what I understand, using certain language that will attract the light(s).
Mark TaylorParticipantI wish for all of us to stop allowing ourselves to be distracted from what is truly important. We are being dragged along in the wake of forces far bigger than we can comprehend. We watch the news, we become afraid of things we have almost zero control over. What to do? Each of us has a sphere of influence with others. Let’s become really good at serving and bestowing with those people and as we do our sphere of influence will naturally grow. For example I just coached my granddaughters to do just one small thing for someone else each day while their target is not looking, and to never tell any one else what they have done.

Would it be correct to suspect that the author of Job was involved in Kabbala learning at some point?
May 23, 2021 at 2:37 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: In what way have I gained a deeper understanding of my life and of the forces working in the world? #52420Mark TaylorParticipantWell much of what I’ve learned her so far are things that I sort of already grasped anyway. i’ve said many times that there are forces at work in the world that are dragging the rest of us along in its wake and that we have to really understand where our sphere of influence lies and that we must try to become our very best within that sphere and always growing that sphere. The last four years here in the United States there’s been so much political unrest in polarization and people writing hateful things about one another and they’re expressing outrage over things that they really have no control over so they really need to be focusing on that’s sphere of influence. I mean I’ve learned a lot here but a lot of it is putting vague concepts I had into much clearer language.

I feel I was guided here. Do you think that happens or is it just an interesting coincidence

I was listening to the different song birds the aroma of various plans and just felt so much closer to my surroundings and as I thanked The Creator for bestowing each of these I became more and more aware, in a humble and intimate way of my world around me. I felt something that is tough to put into words.
Many years ago I took a trip to wherever I ended up, camping along the way. On stop was a primitive campground called Echo Park in Colorado. Google it 😀 It was a great place for introspection. I was 21 years old and had been raised in an evangelical Christian home. I was in the process of sorting wheat from the chaff of my faith.
I remember sitting on the bank if the Yampa river at Steamboat Rock and I asked The Creator to allow me to see “his” hand in nature and the world as I went forward in my life
Those few moments on that river bank are among the most precious in my life. I have returned to them throughout my life but these days I am retired and have more time to examine my world and reality. I think of that experience frequently. I very much feel that what I am learning in Kabbalah is a system to experience the hand of the creator (as I had asked) in the most profound way possible while in human form
