HI All,
Like most of the other course participants whose intros Ive read …Im here to find some answers to the big questions and maybe Kabbalah has them ?
I have relinquished any belief in a traditional “God”( not sure i was ever convinced of that one ), however I do hope there is some sort of organising positive principle that runs things …..
Humanity could never do so in its current iteration ..if we are the most complex objects in the universe so far …. its back to the drawing board.August 14, 2023 at 6:19 pm EDT in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #328784MollyParticipantPre course :
I felt that a wondrous trail of synchronous events had got me to the course in the first place ….and all sorts of connections kept presenting themselves to affirm my being in the right place.
For example I went to a Rembrandt exhibition in Melbourne, Australia, where one of the paintings depicted Esther, King Ahaseurues and Haman. Two weeks later one of our readings spoke about this story being an allegory of spiritual forces, Hester represented the hidden kingdom of heaven ( concealment )…( A guide to the hidden wisdom of Kabbalah Pg 98 ).
Rembrandt refined, throughout his life, the effect of light on certain scenes and subjects, …another metaphor.
I like to hope these are little flags from the creator to encourage me towards the new emergent world that Kabbalah can create.Within the course, all the lectures and guidance were brilliantly intuitive…that is the questions created are always followed by answers or the potential for answers.
Plus :
The exposure of the ego as the foundation of our problems, and these problems are so obvious in the world now… every day one is confronted by the rampant ego of the surrounding world ( presumably this is a reflection of my own ego!!!…scary )and how we need to modify this force within us .MollyParticipantOk thank you
August 13, 2023 at 2:08 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: What does it mean to view reality from the perspective of the Creator? #328648MollyParticipantThe creators view is unchanging and constant. The creator always views reality from the perspective of bestowal and what would be most constructive for the system in its entirety. Conversely I/man view reality from my own egoistic perspective and judge every event by its effect on my desired outcomes.
I feel the creator does not support me if my life is filled with difficulty and that he does if life is filled with personal success .MollyParticipantHi Kabu ,
i have just completed the course The Emergent universe ( Loved it !) and i have a question ?
There is a statement from part 4 /hot spots :“All forms of our world are spiritual imprints, albeit egoistic ones. Here we find the entire world, as well as stars and galaxies, because even in the spiritual world there are the exact same objects: “stars” and “heavens.” But in this world, we see only the reverse projection of a small part of the spiritual world while its major part is out of sight. The spiritual world is much richer in the quantity of components.”
I wonder if the section that is “out of sight” to man , is the dark matter and dark energy scientists search for today ?
The existence of this matter & energy in the spiritual universe …could overlay our current universe ( according to quantum theories about spacetime. superpositions, multiverses etc ) , occupying the same space time ??? as our lower universe ? This would account for the fact that scientists and their instruments know somethings there , can see its affects , …just not what it is ie this is why they call it dark ….wiki : ( yes i know wiki is not optimal but still common knowledge ? )
Dark matter is a hypothetical form of matter thought to account for approximately 85% of the matter in the universe.[1] Dark matter is called “dark” because it does not appear to interact with the electromagnetic field, which means it does not absorb, reflect, or emit electromagnetic radiation and is, therefore, difficult to detect.
Dark Energy: the best current measurements indicate that dark energy contributes 68% of the total energy in the present-day observable universe. This problem has bought current scientific endeavour in understanding our universe to a standstill. Quantum mechanics , Einstein’s laws, Newtons laws …none seem to illuminate this problem .
Maybe they all need to do Kabbalah!!!What do you think ???
Thanks Molly MAugust 8, 2023 at 12:37 am EDT in reply to: Reflect: Share something from the lesson that blew your mind, or even just gave you a new perspective. #328246MollyParticipantHi ,
I actually laughed out loud at the descriptions of us bargaining with our creator to achieve some egoistic desire….it was very funny. I identified myself very clearly in this infantile role. It seems so ridiculous when the light of truth reveals our crazy ego and its circuitous, futile manipulations!!I also related closely to how tricky our ego can be in convincing us that Kabbalah and pursuing the light is too hard ,crazy , is not a real path etc ….that is a frequent visitor for me!
