    Hi,

I just completed week 6 and am not sure, that I really grasped the teachings, specifically about everything coming from the Creator and seeing the Creator in all circumstances.

Maybe this example is best to ask, if I understood it correctly: 15 years ago (I was a church member) something happened that made me question everything and made me realize that I could no longer be part of a church. It even went so far, that I questioned my whole belief. I ended up leaving the church and „turning my back on God“. These last 15 years I did not actively seek Him, I did not search for „alternatives“, I never asked the Creator, if there was more to reality or deeper truths, which I could follow. Recently I have experienced an awakening, and also thanks to the Kabbalah teachings, I have reconnected to the Creator, in a depth I never dreamed possible. To be honest, I am regretting having „wasted“ these last 15 years, thinking that if I had not „let go“ so easily, the Creator would have led me on this path I am on now.

If I understand the week 6 teaching correctly, having regrets on the decision I took, I am in a way idolizing myself? The sin/mistkake is not rooted in my decision, rather in me shifting my focus away from the creator? Looking back now and feeling regret is wrong, as again it shifts the focus to me – another power/force – rather than seeking the Creator, in the  knowledge that this came from Him? So basically I should not ask for forgiveness for having missed out these last 15 years, rather ask for forgiveness for not having seen Him in the „driver seat“ in all that happened? Does this sum it up correctly?

I know that the creator exists and that he wants to be in a relationship with us, that this is real and has the power to change oneself.

    Hi all,
I was pondering on the following and wanted to ask. Or maybe this will be answered in the following weeks?

If Kabbalah is not a religion, then what is the connection to Judaism? Did Judaism spring from kabbalistic teachings? What are the importance of for e.g. Ezekiel‘s vision of heaven or the Psalms? How are these viewed in Kabbalah?

    Thanks and kind regards,

    Oliver

I wish to learn God‘s ways and to be able to draw closer to him, to be able to see and understand more of him.

    Hello from Frankfurt in Germany.
Even as a child I always felt drawn to God and was fascinated by spiritual things. I spent many years in charismatic churches and left as I had too many conflicts with the teachings. My love and yearning for God however never left and recently has become incredibly intense. I asked him to guide me and to help me find a way to get closer to Him again. This is how I have now joined this course and am looking forward to learning about receiving with the intent on giving!
