Many great experiences from the last course all centered around a new perspective on the true purpose of life and the possibility to transform from my inborn selfish nature to the desired altruistic outlook that will be positive to all I come in contact with, and bring happiness to the Creator.

I’m hoping that this course will continue to deepen my understanding and commitment to this journey.

    1 What most inspired me?

Stages of Creation … explains our self-centered nature in a way that we can breathe and not feel dysfunctional. Also that the goal of transformation to an altruistic motivation not only is possible but will happen through a process of imitation and dealing with my desires one by one, with confidence in faith above reason.

    2 What learned about myself?

I can clearly see that my desire to receive for myself alone has periodically caused great division and misery for me and all others involved … but also that moments of altruism have brought the opposite; emotional catharsis, joy, sense of purpose, feeling blessed and alive. What more evidence do I need to believe that this wisdom is valid!

Also, the desire I need to focus on correcting first has become so obvious during the process that I’ve already started … and immediately experienced the push-backs of my “body” trying to deflect me!

3 What I wish my fellow students?

Open minds to push on when old religious paradigms make the material feel challenging, and the strength to put the wisdom into practice. I’m sure that the hardest part will be getting started but things will gain momentum with some successes fresh in our memories and the steady strengthening of our new spiritual sensors.

I’m new to Kabbalah,  but have been fortunate to have my wife doing this with me so we can discuss what we’re learning and how its affecting us. She has been studying this for years and has been a wonderful humble guide, along with the course teachers. I hope that my fellow students can also find ways, including this forum, to connect and reflect with fellow seekers for a richer experience.

My sense is that the Creator is waiting for us to seek Him, so we can begin to transform from egoism to altruism. So we must take a step of faith … believing He exists and is wanting to Bestow us with His blessings of good thoughts and intentions. I think once we have this faith, we will see Him everywhere in our daily lives and gradually become aware of (sense) His Presence in situations where we are trying to give to others without seeking any rewards for ourselves. As we practice this we build our 6th sense and can actually begin to sense His Presence and pleasure with our efforts.

I loved the Creator’s paradox: needing to be hidden so we don’t get overawed and follow His ways because they lead to eternal pleasures that way exceeding any material pleasures this world can offer, but yet also needing to reveal a part of Himself so we sense the gap in our intention versus His Nature and become drawn to correct our egoism. Explains the AC we experience in our relationship with Him … temporary amazing closeness and overwhelming pleasure when we sense His Presence, alternating with moments of feeling alone and in the dark at His apparent distance. Nice to know it is all part of the path towards Him and eternal Oneness!

I wish that we will feel connected through what we have in common … being parts of One Soul and One Desire … and through this feeling of connection we will draw closer and see each other participating in the same quest through life. To realise that our differences arise from our material bodies and their desires, dressed in different clothing according to how we are pursuing these desires. To see beyond these Lower World differences of perception and seek our true spiritual common essence. This will move us closer together and reconnect parts of the One Soul, leading to stronger altruistic desire and brighter Light in this world … towards everyone. Supporting each other through this course is a great start! My brotherly love to you all.

It seems so obvious now but I never realised that pleasure is a spiritual sensation, that it is amorphous and that the different clothes we dress pleasure in fool us into thinking there are actually different types of pleasure. That the only differences between people are the ways they choose to pursue pleasure. Makes sense that pleasure is essentially spiritual since the Creator made us to experience the ultimate pleasure in unity with Him! Also amazing that physical pleasure is basically electrical stimulation of our brains and can therefore be simulated. More confirmation that what we “experience” through our sensory receptors is all in our minds.
