My understanding of kabbalah is to understand the thought of creation and adhere to the Creator. But, I’m having a hard time with a couple of things. First, I feel stuck, which I understand is part of the process. Then my ego also has this conversation about “how great could it really be? Imagine eternity as the same thing. What if it just starts all over again? Wouldn’t that be absolutely terrible having to do this again?”
And… that’s kind of a good point? Maybe I’m just frustrated at the stall and myself. But the idea of this continuing as a cycle over and over depresses me. Am I thinking too far ahead? What should I be focusing on/ doing right now?
September 5, 2022 at 5:06 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Imagine if people were connected according to the spiritual law of love. How would these many issues be approached differently? #299202Sharla WindhamParticipantThe idea of “mine” and ownership would be abolished. Conflict would be lessened in order to work toward common goods and not towards hording for oneself.
August 31, 2022 at 11:32 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #298829Sharla WindhamParticipantIn working with a group towards the same goal, many things happen. We start to see the interconnectedness of each other, that we truly share the human condition and see ourselves in the other friend. We build compassion towards each other and share a common goal that is above ourselves. When our friend is down, we raise them. When we are down they raise us, and it’s all for a single advancement to the upper levels and connect with the Creator
August 30, 2022 at 10:22 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: Considering our journey thus far, how can we fortify our connection with the illuminating force? How do we amplify its transformative influence? #298753Sharla WindhamParticipantWorking with the light that reforms can be tricky because of our egoistic nature that wants to use the light for itself. We can strengthen the influence of the light through our environment to include kabbalah texts and finding the proper group.
August 7, 2022 at 3:45 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Congratulations on progressing through the intermediary stages of your Kabbalah learning by staring this new course! Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #296341Sharla WindhamParticipantI desire to learn how to use my intention for the good of the world and not be so egocentric
