Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? I think we help the others by being a good mirror to them. To be a good mirror we have to be ourselves, be authentic.

Knowing our true nature completely, understanding our egoistic nature, not repress it. This will take us closer to others because we will see ourselves in others and see how we are all connected. So we will do things for ourselves (all as one) using our ego but in a corrected way. I will take others as part of me.
