ParticipantIn disclosing a portion, Covering two. Does that article explain why Kabbalists do not speak of thier own attainment? Because it is unnecessary and will not help?

ParticipantSo when talking about Kabu, Seth told me to take notes. I was reading in “Attaining the worlds beyond” I think it was that Rav said not to try and memorize but to get the feeling of it and it would be better to forget and then read it again. So my question is how do I know what info I am learning for feeling and what info I need to learn to learn intellectually, thanks?

ModeratorYa, there is a kind of balance there. Some things we really do just need a foundational understanding which does start in the brain, if you will. Of course the main thing is the heart which changes by yearning. The light works on us and we feel something different, the mind ‘analyzes’ and you start again.
This is natural, just make sure you’re emotion is dominant. Thanks!

ParticipantIs having a screen like lifting weights? In the sense that you push yourself for a while then you go into a deload to let your body recover for a week or so and then you start ramping it up again for a few weeks or so you progressive overload and then you deload for a couple weeks and so on. So what I am saying is you work work get to a level then go down a bit but you are still better than you were and then you are on a plateau for a while even though you are working then you jump up high, go back down some and then plateau for a while. This is in George Leonards book called “mastery” where he talks about mastering anything if you by some chance are familiar with this line graph he shows.

Moderator<p style=”text-align: left;”>Not exactly, Todd. The spiritual work is an ever increasing acceleration. One you ‘stop’ or ‘slow down’, you’re just limiting the discernment you need to continue forward. The “energy” you need to do the work depends on that supply you get from the environment. So really, the main thing is to keep that connection live.

Thanks!Chris

ParticipantSo someone very very close to me died last year of covid. Thinking about “there is none else beside him” I cannot see why this had to happen so I am pretty pissed at the creator knowing “he” did this. What is a proper thing to do with these feelings?

Moderator<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hey Todd,

At least your not blaming other forces. This is certainly Him causing you to feel such things towards Him. Certainly you should be working to correct that, but we won’t understand the “why” usually till much later. Just like children with their parents. The intention cannot be grasped by the children and usually its clear only after the children have grown into parents themselves.Try to find the place that doesn’t agree and ask Him to change your attitude. Not that He will provide the understanding, but that your attitude will change. This is the correction. Best of luck and sorry for your loss..

ParticipantHello
Rav was talking about using your screen and if you lose it you have to work on building it again. It seems very difficult to keep the screen in place with your intent all the time. How can a person even do this?

ModeratorHey Todd,
This is why working in a group is the only way. We help one another keep this “ball afloat”.
This is the only way.
