      Dear Instructor,

I just wanted to ask a really juvenile question which we covered in the early days over-and-over but I have often learned that these seemingly simple re-occurring questions often come up with different answers as we understand more and more. I’m just watching Seth’s class on Pticha and we are deep into the material at lesson 44 but this old question keeps popping up.

My question is this, if the creator is the absolute total of all things in every sense and in the broadest and most expensive definition of this and that within the creator all things reside then, why was it necessary for the creature to be made. I know this is because the creature has to experience separation and then unification through this process we are expediting by our own effort but if the creator encompassed all then this would not need to have happened as the state of potential, state of actual and the truth of it all regardless of the perspective of the creature would have happened in a heartbeat and Would have always resided in the centre with no need for its separation to the edges?

      Thanks, Lyndon S.

There’s no way around the creature nevertheless having to become like the Creator in such a way that it happens by his free choice every step of the way. All that you’re not understanding lies in this process of it happening through a system that provides for free choice.

      Hi

If you pray for your own spiritual correction is that appropriate?

      Thank you

      Adelina.

Only the prayer for others, for what they want, and is aligned with what the Creator wants, helps.

      Dear KabU Instructor,

You say that as we progress our recognition of our own evil will slowly be revealed to us to the point that we must do something about it because this self-love is so evil and is ‘the foul stench’ refer to in Shamati.

I think that has always perplexed me is, I haven’t done anything in my life which would warrant me feeling that strongly about my shortcomings, failings and mistakes made in the past. The only way that I can  see that the extent of the recognition of evil is so big must be when it relates to the whole of humanity and that I have all the evil in the world in me (as I am a fragment of the whole) and that all the evil that is perpetrated by man regardless of whether it is done by myself is my evil too and I share the need for correction just as much.

I can definitely see that all of humanity is within me and therefore I carry my burden of the good and the evil.

      Is this the correct viewpoint?

If not, if  there is more evil in me to be revealed I am not currently at that place of recognition and I don’t want to end up going down a path of self-loathing for past misdemeanours but can certainly work on myself regarding the whole of humanity?

Is this approach correct, thank you Lyndon Smith.

Yes, it’s that all that is in the world is in me and only me. I have to correct it all. How? The Creator must help.

      Dear Instructors,

I had posted the same question a couple of weeks ago here but it seems to have disappeared.

My question is: the ego is so ruthless, relentless and blunt and so stubborn that it makes me continually operate for it and makes me lie and cheat so that it gets what it wants all the time

My question relates to the growing of the ego spoken of where it increases in size and strength, is this growing of the ego the case when I use ego by exerting its power to increase my inner desire to achieve adhesion with the creator so to then eventually use the ego instead of the ego using me?

Otherwise, I’m not really sure what this increase in the ego means, does it mean that it will just get stronger and I will desire more and more material/ corporeal things or, as above can I use its power to push me toward addition by exerting its drive and ambition to studying, the 10, and work toward this goal?

Thanks Ever so much, Lyndon S

You will always have strength to overcome the pleasure, if you rely on the group. You need to build your group up to the height/greatness of the Creator. That’s your work. The Creator’s work is to add more and more desire/aviut to you, to overcome, until you can overcome even spiritual pleasures. You will have to raise a group that looks like the importance of dust to you to the skies, every time. This is the mechanism of the spiritual work and how all the pleasures of Creation are first overcome and later received in order to bestow.

Atziluth is called the world of corrections. Climbing the ladder in the worlds below, BYA, we gradually, degree by degree rise to the world of Atziluth. These  steps on the ladder in BYA, are they not considered corrections? If yes, what is the differencce with the corrections in Atziluth?

      • #320582

Those are something even greater than what we’re fantasizing about corrections in Atzilut. However, they are corrections of bestowing in order to bestow; and in Atzilut we have corrections to receive in order to bestow.
